I hope you’ve been keeping ok in lockdown 3!

🤞 We now have a way out of this and many businesses and lives can get back to normal 🌟

*Please note a slight increase to the services I offer.

I do hope you understand this isn’t out of greed or for want to make more money. I have always made clear to clients I have a main job and this is something a little extra!

After considering the time I spent in clients homes providing my services and thorough market research, it is this that has led to a small price increase.

Hello Everyone 😊

🤩 It’s great news that hairdressers mobile and salon based are able to continue to operate whatever Tier the area is in 🥳

✅ That being said I am taking bookings however are still waiting for a few Rota’s from my main job so that I can offer more times for Hair. So far I have:

Tues 8th - from 5pm
Wed 9th - from 5pm
Thurs 10th - from 5pm

All slots before this are taken - I will put another post on when I know what I’m working and when I can fit this in 😊

❗️ I’d just like to say a huge thank you all of my clients that have been with me since I started my business back in July! 💜

💫 As we’ve now entered our second lockdown of the year, I’m very grateful that people continue to book in with me!

✂️ For those of you I haven’t managed to squeeze in these past few days I’m really sorry, but fingers crossed I’ll be taking bookings towards the end of these next 4 weeks, providing we aim to come out of lockdown as planned early December.

🔆 As Stoke-on-Trent has now entered Tier 2 local lockdown I just wanted to reassure everyone that mobile hairdressers are still allowed to operate providing Covid Guidelines are followed. That means I will:

🧽 Continue to sterilise all of my equipment prior to use and immediately afterwards.

💇🏻‍♀️ Continue to wear full PPE on entering my clients homes, this is disposed of once used.

😷 As a client, please unless you are exempt wear a face mask, this is due to to the service being recognised by the government as a ‘close contact service’.

As below, we must all do our bit to control the virus;

❗️How about a few Hairdressing Myth Busters to kick July off?! ✂️

❓Does cutting your hair make it grow faster?

✨ Kind of! Cutting your hair every 8 weeks – or 6 if you’re trying to grow it – stops the split ends that accumulate from travelling up the hair. Your hair won’t technically grow faster from the root, but it will look healthier and you’ll be able to keep it longer. If you let your hair grow for a long time without getting it cut, the split ends start breaking and this gives the illusion that the hair has stopped growing altogether.

❓Washing your hair everyday makes it more greasy.

✨ Yes – the reason why you shouldn’t wash your hair every day is because you’re not just washing away your natural hair oils, but telling your scalp that you need to produce even more oil.

❓ Is some hair really more static than other hair?

⚡️ It depends on the texture – people with very fine hair often find it gets quite static. Thicker hair doesn’t tend to have such a flyaway texture because each strand is thicker and heavier.
