COVID - 19 The Welsh Government has indicated that self-contained holiday accommodation can re-open on 13th July 2020.
I have researched Government advice regarding the Covid-19 situation and the holiday let industry, and have decided that for the foreseeable future I will have a 24 hour gap between different guests to allow me to carry out a deep clean and so keep all guests as safe as possible.
This would mean that a week would be in fact be 6 nights and not 7 and would run from Sunday arriving after 12 noon to Saturday leaving by 10am. Likewise a 2 week stay would be 13 nights and shorter stays would have a day free either side or them. These shorter stays are reflected in the prices.
Also following the guidelines to reduce any risk to guests, I am asking guests to bring their own bed linen and towels. All duvets and pillows are provided and all bedding protectors will be changed between guests,
Welcome to my page about Llwynon, my holiday bungalow.
Llwynon is situated in the beautiful Melindwr valley in the village of Goginan, just 7 miles inland from the town of Aberystwyth in Ceredigion
Llwynon sleeps five having a double, a twin and a single bedroom. It has an oil-fired combi boiler ensuring plenty of hot water and toasty warmth from the full central heating.
The kitchen is equipped with a modern electric cooker with a ceramic hob and full sized oven. There is a microwave, kettle and toaster and an under-counter fridge with a small freezer compartment. The bungalow has a full selection of crockery, cutlery, mugs and glasses as well as plenty of cooking utensils. All washing up utensils, cloths and products and cleaning products together with T-towels and a kitchen hand towel are provided.
The comfortable sitting room which has beautiful views of the valley has a large flat screen TV with digibox with recording facilities, together with a DAB radio CD system.
The bathroom has been recently modernised with a walk in shower and heated towel rail.
There is no wifi at Llwynon, however there is excellent reception for 4G on the EE network which a lot of visitors use for their wifi needs.
All electricity and heating costs are included in the price.
Llwynon is surrounded by a big well- fenced garden safe for dogs and has spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
The bungalow is set back from the road and accessed down a stoned drive. It is the ideal place to come and unwind, surrounded by nature in a quiet valley, yet only 7 miles from the beach and town at Aberystwyth.
Close by there are beaches, rivers, hills, walking, biking, golf, horse riding and fishing plus many attractions in Aberystwyth itself such as the National Library of Wales and the Arts Centre which has a theatre and a cinema and is situated on Aberystwyth University Campus .
If you would like to travel further afield, Llwynon's ideal central location makes places such as Snowdonia to the north and the stunning coastline of Pembrokeshire to the south, easy to reach as a day trip.
Wildlife abounds in the valley with all manner of wild birds and animals to be seen such as Red Kites, buzzards, herons, woodpeckers as well as rabbits, foxes andif you are lucky hares and badgers.
Just 3 miles up the road from Llwynon is the Nant-yr-Arian Red Kite feeding centre where the kites are fed every day at 3pm in the summer and 2pm in the winter. There can be over a hundred kites coming to feed every day. Truly not a sight to be missed.
You can however just sit in the garden at Llwynon and chances are you will be lucky and see at least one Red Kite passing over head or even perching in the trees behind Llwynon, as can be seen in the video taken in the garden at Llwynon a couple of days ago.
