Snowdrop season is upon us! 🌼

If you've got the January blues, fear not, the first signs of spring are already starting to appear. Swathes of snowdrops will soon be in bloom, marking the start of the new season.

From February onwards, snowdrop trails will be taking place across the county, so you can celebrate the arrival of spring with a long walk around one of these picturesque locations:

Discover the perfect family day out at Belvoir Castle!

The name "Belvoir" – meaning "beautiful view" in French and pronounced "beaver" – has been around since Norman times.

In the quick turn around between guests we are starting to change the landscape around the lodges. Here we are replacing the hot tub surround on Daisy Lodge with a sleeper raised bed. Its not finished but the first phase is coming along, I managed to rope in my sons to help dad and myself get this done quickly! Cora and Maple our labrador dogs doing their usual gardening!

Discover 7 wines and cheeses at The Olive Branch in Clipsham this Food and Drink Week! With a wine list chosen by Olive Branch co-founder and local wine expert Marcus Welford, paired with cheese introduced by owner Ben Jones, the evening will be an opportunity to learn more about the offerings, alongside some possible Olive Branch anecdotes and stories from the last 25 years.

This informal evening tasting in the barn will start at 7 pm and be an informal standing-room-only event with the chance to mingle.

It's lovely to see the lodges gardens getting more established. The meadows are full of wildlife, the dragon flies are back! Ducklings on the pond, a heron circling, barn owls at dusk. Hares, leverets, geese are just some of the wildlife to be seen here.
