This memorial in the High Victoriana style is dedicated to one of Ireland's most famous whiskey families- the Dunvilles. You can find it in the Old Priory Graveyard in Holywood, Co. Down. It was commissioned by Violet Dunville and. amongst the inscriptions, is one to her favourite son John Spencer Dunville. He was awarded the Victoria Cross posthumously for placing himself between enemy fire and one of his men. He was leading a party of Royal Engineers trying to demolish enemy wire and, despite being gravely wounded, stayed in command until the job was done. The overgrown bush to the right of the photo is a ligustrium and was brought from his grave in Villiers-Faucon cemetery.

Firstly Ciara and I, Nicky, want to thank all of you who've liked the page or who follow us. We were so disappointed that we couldn't run the tours but our disappointment isn't that important. What mattered was everyone's safety, particularly all the wonderful people who work at the venues. If, in the future, you choose to take our tour, you'll quickly realise that it's the amazing staff who really add value to the experience. We cannot wait to catch up with all of them! As soon as we have confirmation that we can start the tours, we'll let you know but, in the meantime, we'll do our best to post a few pictures to keep you interested!
