It was great to catch up with Hilary yesterday, and perfect timing as I’m just finalising details with the first operator to sign up to Bespoke Travel Services... By John and they will be represented from January 2021.

Massive thank you to everyone that has liked my page so far, its much appreciated !!!

I just want to give you an update as to what's been happening over the past few weeks since I launched Bespoke Travel Services... by John.

I've had several Zoom meetings and calls over the past three weeks with various operators and suppliers who would love to have representation in Scotland, Cumbria and Northern Ireland and have shown real interest for what I can do to help them achieve this. So watch out over the coming months and find out which suppliers will be represented by me.

Fantastic piece of work by the SPAA

The travel industry operates on a different financial model from almost any other sector. This infographic shows when - and if - a travel agents is paid fees for a booking. It can be around 9 months after an initial client enquiry before they receive any payment for their work. And, for many, 2020 has been a year of zero - or negative - income as they are obliged to refund their clients before they have been refunded by the travel operators.
