It is time for Corner Cottage to experience something different again. We have welcomed dozens of holiday guests and we love this cosy house and the village of Dennington. Now it will be someone's home and they can enjoy the view of the church, the ducks passing by, popping up to The Neathouse for coffee and the local The Dennington Queen

Love a visit to Fram Castle - 5 minutes away in the car. Framlingham has excellent facilities- Co-op, butchers, deli, pet shop, book shop, clothes, beautician, hairdressers, Tues &! Saturday market, coffee shops, restaurants, pubs and a historic church with royal burials!
A trip to Framlingham Castle last week with the little ones proved an adventurous day filled with lots of excitement. It was a little windy and cloudy at times, but that didn't stop one Best of Suffolk team member and their family enjoying their day.
Coats zipped up, wellies on, they headed inside to explore the castle. The wall walk proved a popular choice with everyone and offered some fantastic views, and the children really enjoyed the Easter Adventure Quest. After exploring the castle, it was time to walk around the grounds. The little ones spent ages running around, playing, and using their imaginations. Even though they got a little muddy, we can honestly say that plenty of fun was had.
If you'd like to know more about why you should add a visit to Framlingham Castle to your itinerary next time you're in Suffolk, our blog 'Your Guide to Framlingham Castle' is a great place to start. https://loom.ly/yWpNf2E

We had a lovely meal The Lighthouse in Aldeburgh on Sunday. We had walked from Thorpeness - against the wind to work up an appetite - and wanted to try out a place for a family Sunday lunch later in the month. As they are dog-friendly we were given a corner table and delicious food. Pooch snoozed happily until we wandered back along the beach in the sunset (less windy!). We booked in for lunch!

Welcome to Corner Cottage Dennington, Suffolk
We’ve grown to love Suffolk - with amazing beaches, gently rolling countryside, nature reserves, endless pubs, cafés, local food producers. We’re delighted to have found Corner Cottage. It’s easy to travel to everything from here so you can enjoy the bustle of more touristy places and retreat back to the Cottage. Dennington village has an excellent pub and café a short walk away. From the cottage you can look straight at the Parish Church which is worth a visit for some unusual wooden carvings. You are in the heart of the village, which is protected by a conservation area. Watch out for the resident ducks (especially on the road please), who mostly live on the duck pond behind the pub and even seem to head to school in the mornings. The small town of Framlingham within a 5 minute drive, short cycle or easy walk (2.8miles), with all the facilities & shops you need, Framlingham Castle (late 12th century, English Heritage) to visit and Framlingham Mere Nature Reserve to explore. If you want a few nights off (or even the whole week) from cooking then Framlingham has restaurants and take-aways....and a new ice-cream shop that we need our guests to try out! Surrounding villages also have top-quality pubs.
Corner Cottage is Victorian, with a side extension (that was once a bookshop) and a fully equipped kitchen across the back. The lounge/dining room has a good sense of space without losing the cosy details of an open fire and wooden beams. The sofas seat 5...or just the two of you stretched out. The dining table seats 4/5 without extending or you can seat 5/6 more comfortably by adding the middle section. The old bookshop is now a great reading space or 3rd, single bedroom, with an ensuite shower room. Upstairs the slipper bath invites you to relax, the twin and double bedrooms suit a family or friends to share. The wardrobes offer plenty of hanging and shelving. It was fully redecorated and newly furnished prior to the launch, with new double-glazing upstairs, so you can sleep long after the dawn.
The courtyard garden with chairs, table and BBQ offers a safe space for meals outside. Footpaths take you to the village open spaces by the Neathouse café and round the back of the parish church to find the playing fields - so children and dogs run around (if a day at the beach hasn’t been enough!)
