Richmond in North Yorkshire secured a spot in the national ranking, which was compiled by holiday and travel firm Independent Cottages.

If you are looking for a local meat supplier for when you come and stay with us, we strongly recommend shopping online with Robert and his team at TMC - Tunstall Meat Company. You can have an order delivered to your tent or have one delivered to you at home. They deliver nationwide.

We still have a little snow at the tents. They do look pretty spectacular in the snow. Keep warm and keep safe over the next few days. It is looking like the temperature is dropping significantly.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and keep an eye out tonight for the Northern Lights . They are expected to be best witnessed in Scotland, North England, North Wales and Northern Ireland tonight. Look forward to seeing any sightings. I will post any I see as long as I am still awake!!!

That is the family sorted for our Christmas meal. We have ordered some turkey, beef and pigs in blankets and a bit more from our award winning butchers in Richmond . All of their meat is grass fed. It all arrives in perfect chilled condition to cook or freeze and they deliver nationwide - so no matter where you live, they have got you covered.

Welcome to Dale2Swale Glamping!

From Union House Farm in Richmond, this is the view from your tents when you stay with Dale2Swale Glamping. Stunning views of the North Yorkshire countryside as far as the eye can see and the perfect spot to watch the sun come up, or go down..

Based on our 400 acre family farm just outside Richmond, you will find our Dale2Swale luxurious safari tents - the perfect place to relax with family and friends and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We chose this location due to the peaceful and picturesque surroundings that you will find there.

Being located on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales and right next to the River Swale it is the perfect location to rest and recharge. With acres to explore and a public bridleway that runs through the farm - come and rest for a few days or stay with us for the week.

Each tent (Grouse and Snipe) sleeps up to 6 people and come with a king size bed, twin bed and a cabin bed which the children will love. All the linen is provided. There is also a toilet and shower in your tent and even a log burner. You will find a gas hob for cooking and a large cool box is provided with plenty of ice packs (and more if you need them) along with all of your pots and pans, plates and cutlery. A dining area to enjoy your meals and sitting area to make the most of the log burner on those cooler summer evenings, completes the tent. All you need to do is bring yourself and food and drinks to make your stay even more comfortable.
