Not sure where to go this summer?

For short-haul travel you can’t go too wrong with classic summer holiday destinations like Spain, Greece and Croatia – temperatures will be comfortably in the mid to high twenties across most of the country. Or for something a little more off-the-beaten-path, try Albania or Montenegro. You’ll get the same beautiful beaches and charming towns but minus the crowds and high prices. For a far-flung adventure, Thailand and Indonesia both make excellent summer trips (try to leave yourself at least a couple of weeks to explore), while Hawaii would be our USA top tip and Namibia the ideal spot for safari.

Lubeck, Germany

Review:

Definitely worth a visit. This historical city has so much history dating as far back as the 12th century. The city is surrounded by a river adorned with boats. The city is famous for
it’s mazipan. Although I’m not a fan of it, the shop and tea rooms is worth a visit.
From museums, to art galleries, quaint little coffee shops, a town hall, a cobbled square, bakeries and bargain shops, this city has a little bit of everything to make your visit wonderful. I loved it so much I bought a print of the gateway.

Hamburg

Review:

There are so many sides of Hamburg, from the high end shops to the Repperbahn famous for it’s night life and debauchary. Did I enjoy? Absolutely. Would I visit again? Possibly.
Highlights: the town hall, St Michaels Church, Ricky Rickemers boat museum with its karaoke room, Elbe tunnel.
Like any city, there’s a contrast of the rich and poor, told by two sides of the central train station. It’s a city of music and diverse culture, a second home to The Beatles. The tour of which could be a lot better. Hamburg could definitely cash in on The Beatles more effectively. With shades of Amsterdam, it’s not for everyone, but like any city it depends where you go. If you do I would highly recommend a walking tour. If you are lucky you will experience the walking tour with Savvy, a very Savy guy with extremely good knowledge of the diverse culture of Hamburg.
Everything we ate tasted amazing, everyone was helpful and friendly. A city for adults, although there are plenty of family friendly activities . If you are looking for a cheaper alternative to Amsterdam, this is the place!
