This Whistling Green-Pigeon
(Treron formosae) was being attacked by a pair of Osprey or buzzards.
She was still being attacked while motionless in the water and seemed content to be in my company and ride on and in the kayak for the rest of a mangrove tour.
With deep cuts to her neck and a broken beak, the vet was not sure if she'll survive.

Even though we have just started the coldest week of the year, as usual the plants know spring is just around the corner...
