Goodbye to our guests this morning who have just finished their 3rd stay at Pretty View Cottage. How GOOD it is to welcome them back every time and we look forward to seeing them again in the future we hope.
It was also very GOOD to meet them in person at The Swan Inn on Bank Holiday Sunday.

A lovely photo from our last guests I’ve just received and it’s put a smile on my face.
The flowers where grown by my mother and she cut them ready for the guests arrival. I didn’t realise they took them home to enjoy the full beauty of them. 💕

Yes it’s only August, but with our calendar booking out fast we recommend that you start thinking about booking your Christmas break now.
Through December into early January the cottage is decorated for the season! 🌲

‘If the Wall could talk’
One of my favourite things at Pretty View Cottage is this wall with lots of names scratched in to the brick over the years Gertie 1973 (over 50’s old).
The White Rose bush was also inherited when we bought the cottage, it’s so wonderful to see it always in Bloom.

It’s now Harvest time and around Pretty View Cottage the local farmers are working hard & long hours. 🌙🌾
Please be extra careful when driving or out walking they is a-lot more tractors & farm machinery on the road. 🚜🌾

Shooting Stars & The Northern Lights, lots ment to take place in the Sky tonight. As Pretty View had said goodbye to its guests on Sunday & before we say welcome to our guests on Monday I couldn’t miss the chance to take a 2am walk to see if Pretty View Cottage was lit up with the nights sky.
They was lots of stars, I saw 3 shooting stars and the sky was a green colour not very well picked up on the photo but they is the street lights shining bright too which I don’t think helped.
I made a wish 🌟 the same one 3 times! ✨

Our Welcome Book, located in the kitchen has details of the amenities we have in Seaton and neighbouring village Sigglesthorne. From the local pub (drinks, snacks, children’s area, pool, darts & board games) to the local shop/fuel station and garden centre or the country estate tea rooms after a beautiful picturesque walk. They is lots available but due to location times change throughout the seasons and we recommend you check before planning your day or evening out.

The Flys are exceptionally bad at the moment even our ‘Neigh’bours have their fly masks on.
Please can I remind all guests that the Green Bin is general waste and to tie all bin bags before placing in the outside bin. The blue bin is recycling and all items needs to be washed out first.
Thank You, they is fly spray and a fly zapper located in the kitchen.
