Winter in the Cotswolds with Robertson & Co.

This amazing property sleeps up to 14 in serious cosiness and comfort. An extended former Victorian Hunting Lodge with large, tranquil gardens, it is a brilliant choice for groups of friends or two families looking for some fresh air, rest and relaxation. The entrance hall, featuring a log burning stove, is a lovely place to take time out with a good book or the Sunday papers and leads down to the kitchen/dining room which can be set up for an intimate dinner or for up to 14 with an extension table. There are two further receptions rooms, a formal drawing room with baby grand piano, and off that a library/television room that is perfect for a relaxing movie night. The drawing room opens out onto a south-west facing terrace that looks out over the large private gardens with over 50 private acres for walks and picnics beyond that. The swimming pool in the rose garden is another key feature of this incredible property come summer next year!

Robertson & Co. team trip to Pembrokeshire

Exploring the Pembrokeshire coast has got to be one of the highlights of 2021 for us. The wild, rugged landscape formed a dramatic backdrop for the ever-changing weather and the breathtaking views will stay with us all, long past the return journey over the Severn Bridge. A cold dip in the Atlantic was first on the agenda every day followed by long hill-hikes, getting lost with an ordnance survey map and always finishing up in one of Pembrokeshire’s finest pubs for a local brew. This un-spoilt corner of the country is right up there for us and we would be so happy to share the secret with you! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Northumberland Castle Tours with Robertson & Co.

It’s pretty safe to say that Northumberland is home to some of the most stunning castles in the UK. First up is Warkworth Castle, a ruined Medieval castle dating back to the 12th century, stunningly situated on the River Coquet. Then we explored Bamburgh Castle, found on the northeast coast, this fort-like castle is steeped in Saxon/Viking/Norman history. Last but not least, is the awe-inspiring Alnwick Castle. 10 points to Gryffindor if you can work out why this 12th century seat is so famous….? 🪄🏰
