A day off skiing yesterday and instead we went for a walk around Lake Montriond.
Not far from Morzine and Les Gets, in the summer you’ll find people kayaking, paddle boarding and relaxing in the sun. For us we enjoyed a lovely frosty walk around its perimeter which is just under 2 miles then stopped for a hot chocolate and lunch at one of the lakeside restaurants - L’Auberge du Verdoyant.
Balanced off by cocktails at Baboushka’s that evening in Les Gets!

Out of Office has been switched on as I’m off on my own holiday, skiing on the slopes of Les Gets.

Some lovely feedback from one of my January bookings. This customer was visiting family in Australia so just needed flights and a stopover on the way there and back. I was able to package their flights with several nights in a Singapore, a city my customers had never been to.
Singapore is an excellent place to break up a long flight due to its myriad of attractions and cultural sites. It's a city where you can easily fill up a week, so a few days can offer a wonderful taste of its unique charm. From the stunning Gardens by the Bay to the bustling streets of Chinatown, there's truly something for everyone.

What a week! January is a whirlwind month for those of us in the travel industry. Known as "Peaks," it marks the busiest time of the year for holiday bookings.
Ensuring I secure the best price and availability for my customers often means working late into the evening, which has been most evenings this week, as well as over the weekends. This is just another way that I go beyond for my clients, I don't just leave the office or close my laptop. But after an intense week, I'm planning to take a well deserved evening off. However, this is just a brief respite, as I'll be back at my desk first thing in the morning as I have a lots of lovely enquiries to research and bookings to put finalize.

A bit delayed, but I would like to just wish you all Happy New Year! May 2025 bring you health and happiness, oh and of course filled with lots of travel!!
A little recap on 2024, which was filled with unforgettable moments for me and my customers. I visited some amazing places and having lots of milestone family birthdays, including my own 50th, meant some of these were real bucket list trips:
• Skiing in Les Gets, France with friends
• Celebrating my 50th with island hopping in St Vincent & the Grenadines
• A family 90th birthday celebration in the Norfolk Broads
• My first Disney experience after being invited to join the Disneyland Paris UK Summer 2024 Trade Event
• An epic trip to Canada along with an Alaskan cruise with family for a 60th birthday!
• Back to Canada by invitation of Destination Canada and Quebec Tourism board to explore this area with other agents
• Exploring and relaxing in Malta for a week
• Annual narrowboat weekend
• A girls short break to Fuerteventura
I have a couple of things lined up for 2025 but we still need to decide on where we are going to holiday, and the sooner the better as even travel agents like to take advantage of the best availability and prices that forward planning can bring!

Since my first trip abroad in my teens to Sweden, I have been fortunate to have visited over 40 countries around the world - my favourites being Iceland, Vietnam, Cambodia, Cuba, Sicily. My trips have been varied - from city breaks to long tours, relaxing beach holidays to skiing snowy mountains, luxury hotels to hostels – so I have a wealth of travel experiences to delve into.
