𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨 𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧? Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a great option for a Caribbean island hopping trip. Here is an overview of my own holiday itinerary that we returned from a few weeks ago:
~ International flight from London to Saint Vincent
~ 4 nights at Beachcombers Hotel, Saint Vincent
~ Ferry to Bequia
~ 4 nights at The Liming, Bequia
~ Ferry to Union Island
~ Resort pick-up via their private boat
~ 6 nights at Palm Island Resort
~ Inter island flight from Union Island to Barbados
~ International flight from Barbados to London

Our decision to arrange a holiday to Saint Vincent and The Grenadines followed on from my attendance at an event held by their tourism board. I didn’t know much about this area and had only ever been to the Caribbean once previously. But upon hearing from hoteliers and the tourist board representatives my interest was piqued, one because it sounded less touristy than other parts and two, because we could create an itinerary taking in multiple islands quite easily. And getting between the islands was really easy, we just walked onto the ferry, paid and away we went! There is also the option of speedboat and inter islands planes if you prefer.

The only difficulty is deciding which of the islands you want to visit, but once you do, I can create you a bespoke itinerary so get in touch.

Getting from island to island whilst on our holiday in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was really easy. There are several inter island ferries and planes to choose from running on various days of the week. You just need to look at the timetable and work out which suits your schedule (or let me do that!)
We caught the Bequia Express to get from Saint Vincent to Bequia, the crossing took about 75 minutes and you walk on and pay on board, cost 25XCD (approx £7.50 each).
To get from Bequia to Union Island, we caught the Jaden Sun Fast Ferry, you just wait on the pier to be picked up and then again walk on board to pay, cost 110XCD (approx £32 each) The ferry took just under 2 hours and called at Canouan and Mayreau.
Included in our stay at Palm Island, they arranged our flight to Barbados with Grenadine Alliance, again we landed at several islands on the way to pick up and drop off passengers.

Young Island. Whilst in Saint Vincent we were invited over to Young Island resort to take a look around, relax and have a swim and enjoy some lunch.
Young Island is 200 yards across the water from Saint Vincent mainland. You get to by its own ferry which operates from 7am til midnight and takes a few minutes.
This private island resort has 29 secluded cottages, these can also be booked on a day pass.
The restaurant is also available for non guests to book lunch and dinner and is known for its selection of homemade breads, we had the choice of 5 flavours - the coconut bread was delicious.
The island is just 13 acres, we walked up and over its peak to the other side to the viewing point over to Rock Fort Duvernette.

Our first morning here at The hotel is made up of several colourful buildings set in lovely tropical gardens with a pool terrace leading down onto the beach. We had an early breakfast then walked along the beach front and explored a bit. The rest of the day was spent relaxing by the pool with a book!

I booked this luxury holiday accommodation on Norfolk Broads for our family gathering through one of our UK suppliers and it is awesome!
The property has 6 bedrooms, 2 with balconies and views of the river, large living spaces and is well equipped to accommodate very high standard.
It has a games room and even has use of water sports inc kayaks, SUPs, canoes and two 12 seater boats!
Lots to do for a group of friends or multi gen family trip

Who else will be watching the new series of Race Across the World starting tonight?

Last year they went to Canada and I don't think it was a coincidence that my most popular destination for customer bookings was for Canadian tours, I even booked one myself!

𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻! Did you know that spring is a special time to visit Washington, DC when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. In fact the city even celebrates this with its Cherry Blossom Festival, which is quite an event.
In 2024, the USA’s National Cherry Blossom Festival takes place between 20th March and 14th April, while peak bloom in Washington, DC is forecast to last from 23rd to 26th March.
The Opening Ceremony, co-presented with the Japanese Foundation, is an artistic celebration of the 1912 gift of trees from Tokyo to Washington, DC. There's also a Festival Parade – a riot of colourful helium balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands from across the country. Did you watch 'Cruising with Susan Calman' last week on an epic once-in-a-lifetime expedition voyage to Antarctica? The programme followed her on board to the sumptuous surrounds of the 6-star Discovery Yacht - Scenic Eclipse. She discovered mesmerising ice landscapes from the ships helicopter, an extraordinary colony of Chinstrap penguins and visits Deception Island with the expert Discovery Team.

𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗮𝘆! Celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of January every year around the world. A day encouraging us to ‘enjoy, experience and explore’ the wonders snow and snow-related activities. So for those of you that are in a location to go out into the snow or hit the slopes, I hope you have a magical day. As for me, I’ll be watching Ski Sunday and looking forward to my week away on the slopes of Les Gets in February.

Oh and it’s not too late to book yourself a skiing holiday, and if you’re not a skier or snow boarder, what about a trip to see the Northern Lights in snowy Finland. Give me a call whilst there’s still some availability.
