VIP Lounge Punta Cana

Just some casual plane-spotting while enjoying a late-night swim in the airport’s brand new infinity pool. Such a fun and inexpensive (relatively for a lounge) way to kill some time before your flight.

Such a wonderfully different day. A long drive took us to the capital city of Santa Domingo. As well as 3 hotel visits we also had a guided tour of the city which was fascinating - I learnt so much about the colonial history, Francis Drake and the city’s cultural heritage. We also enjoyed a delicious 5 course lunch of traditional Dominican food. Such a beautifully authentic contrast to the large 5-star hotels. Would highly recommend a few nights in Santa Domingo if you visit Dominican Republic.

Yesterday it poured down! We were on a boat trip to an island called Minitas and the heavens opened. It was actually quite refreshing but not exactly the day we had planned. 🤣 So we came back to our hotel for some clay pigeon shooting. As you do! Casa de Campo is a luxurious resort and I’ll be sharing far more on it soon, but it’s known for its world-class amenities, including three championship golf courses, a marina, a private beach, and a replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village. The resort spans 7,000 acres with its exclusive villas, gourmet dining, and outdoor activities like polo, horseback riding, and watersports. It has long been a celebrity hotspot, attracting famous figures like Beyoncé and Jay-Z, the Kardashians, Ricky Martin and Michael Jordan who all have villas here.

Good morning. 🇩🇴 It was late when we arrived last night so I didn’t even notice the jacuzzi on my balcony. 😊 Full site inspection later today but so far very impressed with this hotel. It’s an adults-only property and the food last night was delicious.
