Learning something new and pushing yourself in fitness 💪

One of the best parts of fitness isn’t just the physical results – it’s the mental strength that comes from challenging yourself and pushing beyond what you thought possible. Starting something new, whether it's lifting heavier, mastering a new movement, or trying a different workout style, is where real growth happens.

👉 Step Out of Your Comfort Zone: True progress comes when we venture beyond what’s comfortable. It might feel intimidating at first, but remember – every expert was once a beginner. Lean into the discomfort, knowing it’s taking you somewhere new.

👉 Celebrate Every Step: It’s easy to get focused on big goals, but don’t forget to recognize each step forward. Every time you push a little harder or tackle something challenging, you’re proving to yourself just how strong you are.

👉 Trust the Process: Results take time, but every bit of effort adds up. Trust that every small push, every extra rep, and every sweaty minute is building the foundation for a stronger, more resilient you.

My next goal is a triathlon and learning how to swim again 🏊

Life update 😊

What a busy few months I have had 😴

New clients
Marathon training 🏃

In the last couple of weeks I've really been thinking of what to do next 🤔

After completing the marathon (unbelievably hilly) I really want to come out of my comfort zone and look at really challenging myself and see how far I can push. Next year the plan will be sub 3 marathon in Brighton and then I'm going to look at completing a triathlon. For someone who can only swim so they won't die 🤣 this will be a huge challenge. If I can achieve that then I'm going to try to train for an iron man and see what I can do 💪

So far IV added 10lbs from when I started adding weight and I'm going to continue this through the winter ☃️❄️

Before a big run I like to fuel up with plenty of carbs and protein. I normally eat at least 2 hours before a big event.

My recipe is:
Oats
Protein
Soya milk
Grapes
Apples
Cinnamon and ginger

Fueling up the right way before a big run is key to performance! The night before is all about carbing up to make sure my energy levels are fully charged for the long miles ahead. 🍝🍠🥖

Carbs like pasta, potatoes, bread and brown rice are my go-to choices to ensure my body has the glycogen stores it needs to power through every step. 💪🏽 These are just little.details, it's also about the focus, training and pushing past limits! 🏃‍♂️

Biscoff apple crumble and custard 😍

Perfect recipe for the cold nights ahead 🥶

I use:
Apples mixed with cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.
In a separate bowl:
Oats
Salted caramel protein
Baking powder
Biscoff spread
Water
Cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg

Then in the oven for 15 minutes and on the top shelf for 5 minutes.

Then add the custard 🍮

This should keep you warm 😁

"Why Cheat Meals Are More Than Just a Treat"

Sticking to a diet can be tough, and that’s where cheat meals come in! 🍕🍔

A cheat meal isn’t about “failing” your diet; it’s about balance and sustainability. It can help you curb cravings, reset your metabolism, and give you a mental break from strict eating habits.

The key is moderation and timing.

Plan your cheat meal as part of your diet, and make sure it doesn’t turn into a cheat day (or week!).

I also try and set cheat/treat meals for my clients which helps them in their motivation knowing that they have earned that meal through their hard work through the week.

Remember, one meal won’t make or break your progress! In fact, it might just give you the boost you need to stay on track and feel more motivated. Especially in a diet phase when you can feel quite flat through the reduction in calories a cheat meal could give yourself the boost you needed.

Biscoff and apple ice cream 🍨🍦

Now it's autumn it's time to add the cinnamon 😁

For this recipe I used:

Soya milk
Lactose free yogurt
Chia seeds
Biscoff spread
Salted caramel flavoured soy protein
Banana
Apple
Cinnamon
Nutmeg

Then freeze for 24 hours and mix in the ninja Creami!

I then added milk and a biscoff biscuit from Aldi.

Mix again on a light ice cream setting and then add another biscuit and use the mix in setting. This adds to the crunch!

Black forest fruit sorbet Ice cream 🍦 🍨 🍇

For this recipe I used:

Soya milk 🥛
Lactose free yogurt
Chia seeds
Black forest fruit 🍓
Chocolate flavoured soy protein

Then freeze for 24 hours and mix in the ninja Creami!

I then added milk, raisins and some nuts to add that extra crunch 🥜

Mix again on sorbet setting and then add dark chocolate and use the mix in setting. This adds to the crunch!

Here are some tips to keep in mind:

Control your movements: Avoid using momentum; slow, controlled reps target muscles more effectively.

Use a full range of motion: This ensures you're working the muscle completely.

Breathe correctly: Inhale on the easier part, exhale on the exertion. 🫁

Stay consistent with your form, and progress will follow! 💪

Cheese burger 🍔😋

Really easy and really cheap to make🤑

Wholemeal bread roll 🥐
Light cheese (I use lactose free?
150g low fat beef mince
Salt, pepper, garlic, paprika, onion powder
Egg 🥚 (to mix in with the mince)
Low cal olive oil spray

Mix into a bowl and make nice thick burger patties 🍔

Heat in the air fryer until golden brown 🤎

I use mustard and ketchup with pickles for the sauce but you can choose what you like 😁

Chinese chicken balls 😍

It's really easy and my boys love them!

Chicken mince
Soy sauce
Paprika
Chinese 5 spice
Garlic powder
Fresh garlic
Mix into plain flour

I use the air fryer with some olive oil to make them extra crispy 😜

Add sweet and sour sauce and they taste unreal 🤤
