Well we haven't quite had the last of it up here in the Staffordshire Hills as the weather today is proving ❄️☃️

As much as we enjoy using the hot tub in this weather we are definitely ready for some warm weather and sunshine though ☀️

We've been busy getting all the building work on our cottages completed so we don't disrupt guests 👷

Hopefully it won't be long now until you could be sat in our hot tub e hiying a glass (or bottle) of fizz enjoying the stars 🍾✨

We've been making the most of lockdown 2.0 💪

Whilst we had to close our doors we decided to get on with next years plans and start the conversion of our stable block 🤩

With a lot of hard work and a digger they are now looking a lot less like stables and more like cottages 😍

Keep your eyes peeled for more posts and progress 👀👍

We have done this all now so there is no disruption or noise for our guests when we open our doors again tomorrow 🤎

Good morning and Happy December 🎉🎅☃️

After hot summer days winter is our favourite season 🤩

We get to light the large Woodburner, relax with a hot chocolate, soak in the roll-top bath, and enjoy crisp morning walks around our fields in the frost 🔥❄️

As we are high up here we can get snow and the views are incredible but we have been known to see a LOT more than expected if there are winds 🌬️🌨️😆

We will dig out some snow picture for you this week so keep your eyes peeled for some winter magic 😍✨

Due to the government's announcement last week unfortunately we are having to close the doors of The Farmhouse for the duration of this lockdown

Welcome to our latest installation - spinning horseshoe ball 😍

Did you know.... The owner of The Farmhouse is a Blacksmith (and a Bladesmith too) and very talented. Mike has his own forge on the grounds and is a highly skilled craftsman making his own Damascus steel knives amongst many other things 🗡️⚔️

This ball was made by using Old shoes and has been hand crafted completely by Mike alone. It will catch the wind and spin (which I find mesmerising) 🤩
