Continuing the theme of service, we point the spotlight on our GenZ team whose efforts significantly enhanced our Saphos steam train experience last week. Comprising young individuals aged 18-21, the team demonstrated a commendable dedication to service excellence, untainted by the often mediocre standards commonly seen today.

These young professionals internalised the principles of outstanding customer experience, driven by a sincere empathy for the customer. Thank you to Olivia Johnson, Ben Screeton, Millie Smith, York College, York UK.

However, it was the exceptional service that truly stood out.

Hotel rooms need to transform into smart rooms! All the information on one tablet which gives guests extra functionality like communicating with the front desk, room service, spa bookings, late checkouts, housekeeping requests and everything else.

This device will put the control at the guests’ fingertips, allowing them to adjust lights, temperature, blinds, TV, music… it’s all about making hotel stays convenient for guests 💯

Starting as a 22-year-old newcomer in 2012, Keyur spent the next decade expanding his expertise to eventually adeptly manage significant parts of the Veenus group. During his visit to our office, he shared many insightful reflections to the newer members of our team and we’ve picked our top three:

✔ How you communicate will impact your relationships and outcomes – ensure that you constantly evolve how you communicate to people.
✔ Preparation cannot be underestimated – be ready for any scenario no matter how insignificant.
✔ Always question ‘why’. Don’t take anything at face value…be sure to challenge and question.

Keyur paid tribute to his committed colleagues at Veenus and the directors who gave him the exposure and confidence, which made him excel from the get-go in his next company.
