The highlight of square N15 in New Forest 222 Plus is Sunnyfields Farm. One of the reasons for this is the amazing Pumpkin Time. There's not much time left to catch one of the New Forest's most amazing sights. And they also happen to sell my books in the farm shop... 😍🎅

I dropped in on Woodgreen Community Shop yesterday to deliver some more copies of New Forest 222 and 222+.

It was great to be reminded what a wonderful place the shop is. You can buy a book, a souvenir, a picnic lunch, dinner for later, and also post a parcel. There are also a host of amazing places to visit within a few miles.

If you've not been there, I thoroughly recommend it!😀

Strides New Forest Honey will be selling New Forest 222 at the New Forest Heritage Centre, Lyndhurst today. Enjoy an amazing display, a drink in the cafe, and take away some delicious local honey and a good book!

After delivering more copies of New Forest 222 and 222 Plus to the wonderful Norris 1876 in Beaulieu, I decided to have a paddle on the river. I was really happy to catch a glimpse of Sammy the Seal, featured on page I22 in New Forest 222 Plus. Apologies for the terrible photo!

New Forest 222 and 222 Plus will be on sale at a stand outside the New Forest Heritage Centre, Lyndhurst tomorrow, Friday 31 May. There will also be limited edition prints of many of the pictures from the book, and honey products from Strides New Forest Honey. Both the honey and books are New Forest Marque products.

On Monday I visited the wonderful people at Setley Ridge Farm Shop to deliver some more copies of New Forest 222 and 222+. I was also dropping off books to various school libraries in the area.

As I headed across the New Forest to deliver books to two schools in Ringwood, I realised I was following the route of Castleman's Corkscrew- the old railway between Brockenhurst and Ringwood.

This old railway, along with the line between Ringwood and Poole feature in both books and provide some lovely places to visit.

Would any school libraries like a copy of New Forest 222+?

I've just been asked to send copies of New Forest 222+ to the following libraries:
National Library of Scotland
The Bodleian Library Oxford University
National Library of Wales
Cambridge University Library
The Library of Trinity College Dublin

I figured if the great and good of the British Isles can read it for free, so should young people in the local area. It would suit secondary schools best, especially if they run the Duke of Edinburgh award and the students need a bit of inspiration about where to go in the area.

After a week working in London, the New Forest feels even more magical than usual. This was a quick visit to square
L11 in New Forest 222+ to catch up with Alice in Wonderland, and L12 in New Forest 222 to see Bolton's Bench. I must have visited those old trees a hundred times, but it is still a cool place.

I also had a chance to drop in to my friends at The Woods Cyclery to see if the sunshine was bringing out customers as well as flowers. The shop and café were packed, so the answer was yes!

I recommend Goatee Beach and Eling in the spring and summer, but they're still interesting in February if you're wrapped up to protect yourself from the elements!
