I think one of my craziest Travel ideas was booking a holiday to Vancouver and then deciding to fly out to Vegas for 24hrs as soon as I landed 😅 Arrived in Vegas after 17hrs travelling and 2 hours sleep and managed to walk 20k + steps and cram in so much within those 24 hrs! Here's the highlights!

Hello everyone! I am back from my travels! What an amazing 10 days exploring Vancouver and what an amazing city! The highlight of the whole trip had to be seeing the beautiful Orcas on a whale watching trip! We took a whale watching trip with The Prince of Whales boat tours and I cannot recommend them highly enough! During out trip we saw 3 pods of Orcas, we travelled from Vancouver and up towards the strait of Georgia and here we encountered Transient Orcas. There are 2 types of Orcas, Transient and Resident. The resident Orcas are typically found in waters South of Vancouver and they feed on salmon and other fish in the ocean. They don't eat food sources such as seals/sealions etc and simply stick to eating fish. They travel in larger pods. The Transient Orcas which we saw, they are found in more northern waters. They travel in smaller pods of 2 to 3 and often closer to shore hunting for food such as seals and sealions and they will even eat other baby humpback whales as their food source. We encountered 3 small pods of Transient Orcas on our trip. All travelling along the Vancouver coastline hunting for their lunch! We even saw a mum with 2 baby Orcas ❤️ We were so lucky to see them! We also encountered lots of seals hanging out in a bay, a huge pod of dolphins who put on an acrobatic show for us! And a lone bear that had made us way down to the shoreline to have a drink from the sea. What an experience! I cannot put in to words how amazing it was but these memories will stay with me forever. My husband has returned from his amazing week in Rio de Janeiro. He had an action packed itinerary that we had planned and booked prior to his departure to make sure that he got to experience as much of Rio as possible in the short week that he visited. Rio has so much to offer and he packed in loads including tours to one of the most famous landmarks in the world Christ the Redeemer also Sugar loaf mountain. They got to party the night away at the Rio Carnival and swim in the waves on Copacabanna beach. The highlight of the trip was paragliding from the mountains down on to the beach with fantastic views across Rio. The whole experience took approx 8 mins from top to bottom but I've posted a sped up version of the footage below. What an amazing experience for anyone who loves adrenaline and views of the city from another amazing viewpoint. This weekend I was lucky enough to be invited onboard Fred.Olsens beautiful ship, Borealis for a ship visit and some training about the fabulous Fred.Olsen brand. I am so excited to tell you all about this amazing ship and the cruises and experiences that Fred.Olsen offer. Borealis is a fairly small ship as far as cruise ships go. She can accommodate up to 1,353 guests over 702 cabins. However , once onboard you will find the ship is very spacious with plenty of beautifully decorated lounges, bars and elegent restaurants. The thing that struck me the most was the stunning artwork, everywhere that we turned there was beautiful paintings, statues or ornaments and the biggest feature has to be the stunning atrium simply named "Time". The staircase sweeps down and around a statue that rises up through the centre and through three decks and features clocks showing the time in various world locations. There is 2 main dining rooms Borealis and Aurora , these provide high standard cuisine with perfectly cooked steaks and seafood, delicious fresh soups and pastas plus breakfast, lunch and dinner options and a scrumptious complimentary afternoon tea. I sampled a goats cheese starter, macaroni cheese with mushroom and truffle main and a pistachio panacotta desert and all were simply delicious... I may even go so far to say the tastiest food that I have sampled on a cruise ship , it really did stand out! There is also the option of the poolside cafe, this is a great option for late risers as from 10am it offers a brunch menu. There is also the buffet with a great selection of dishes available daily. The food smelt amazing as we walked through! If you fancy something special why not try one of the two speciality restaurants Colours and Tastes offers Asian fusion whilst Vasco offers Goan cuisine. The cabins are beautifully presented. All feature tea making facilities which I think is something that us British particularly love and its not always a feature on other ships e
