Welcome to Wenlock Studios

Wenlock Studios is a family-run business established in 2012 by husband-and-wife team Doug and Julie Lewis. Both love living in Shropshire, and they’re passionate about the natural beauty of their local area. They currently reside just outside of Much Wenlock, on the Wenlock Edge, with their two gorgeous dogs.

Doug has spent all of his life in Much Wenlock, so is always happy to recommend things to do and places to see. A retired butcher, his hobbies include fishing, clay pigeon shooting, and walking his dogs in the countryside – all the traditional pursuits of rural life! Julie hails from nearby Shrewsbury, and has a wealth of knowledge on all the best shops, restaurants and attractions if you fancy going a little further afield during your visit!

Both Doug and Julie love where they live, and are always keen to introduce more new people to one of Shropshire’s best-kept secrets. With superb walking and cycling routes, breathtaking landscapes, and fine dining all on the little town’s doorstep, Much Wenlock really does make for the perfect relaxing holiday. Each Wenlock Studios’ apartment has been renovated to the couples’ high standards, whilst retaining a vintage charm in keeping with the town’s heritage. Their expertise and friendliness is what has many of their guests returning year after year.
