In the October half term, we took the children to Orlando to visit Universal Studios. It was fab! I know this, because neither child moaned once while we were there!
We stayed on site at Loews Sapphire Falls. the main reason for choosing this hotel was early park admission and the free water taxis that took you straight in.
I know when booking a Disney/Universal holiday it seems you need a degree to navigate it. But actually its quite easy, she says!!
Included in our Universal pass, were Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure & Volcano Bay Water Park. Universal & Islands of Adventure are next to one another.
Basically we would get up early, grab breakfast from the cafรฉ/shop on site and head to the ferry. Making use of our early entry. I would absolutely recommend downloading the app, so you can see wait times on rides. Most days we were out by lunch time and by the pool, or if Lula had her way, shopping at the Outlets!
October for us was a great time to go, weather not too hot. I have been in September and too hot for me. The queues were not bad, apart from Hagrid ride which is normally an hour plus. There is also the Halloween Horror nights at Universal Studios. This is an extra ticket to purchase, which gets you in to the scare zones and The Haunted Houses. There is also a show you can watch, that is on several times in the evening. My children are 11 & 13, and while the houses were too scary for my youngest, she loved the scare zones. I mean who doesn't love being chased by a zombie or a man with a chainsaw!!!
Apparently no trip to America is complete without visiting Raising Canes, IFKYK!!
Also, I know I need to get better, but I was enjoying myself so much, I hardly took any photos, Always the sign of a good holiday.
If you fancy a Universal holiday, and don't forget next year Epic opens, May 22nd!!!! Please do get in touch I would love to help you book your next break.
