✨Epic Universe is about to change what we know about Orlando holidays.

✨Call me crazy, but I think there is about to be a big shift in the way we ‘Florida’ from the UK. (I can make Florida a verb, can’t I?)

✨Right now, the most popular holiday I book for families is a 14-day split stay between Disney and Universal; It’s the perfect balance of a couple of days for each Disney park, a few rest days and 3 days to comfortably see Universal as well.

Wham-bam. Once-in-a-lifetime holiday ✅

✨Epic Universe is about to change all of that. Fast forward to Summer 2025 and it’s going to be a tight squeeze trying to fit in the new park (both in terms of time and money) in just 14 days.

My prediction?
I think we’re going to see a lot more Disney-focussed holidays for the younger ones (to soak up all that magic) followed a few years later with a Universal holiday for the teens.

✨Park tickets are most often the biggest expense when it comes to a Florida holiday. So if you can take two shorter holidays and cut out half the ticket cost...I mean, that’s Disney maths.

✨I pulled together a sample 10-day itinerary combining Universal and SeaWorld Parks, just so you can see what it might look like.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is back open 🥳

🌊I love a water park day and think it’s the perfect way to have some down time away from the theme parks. The key is knowing when to schedule them into your plans so you avoid the busiest days and have a good ‘balance of action and rest.

A few top tips:
- Towels are complimentary for Disney resort guests
- Take water shoes if it is hot as it can feel like walking on hot coals on the paths
- There is a refillable mug exclusive to the water parks, it can work out good value if you are there all day
- If you have little ones, there is a great splash area - Ketchakiddee Creek - at the back of the park
- Parking is complimentary, but lockers are not

✨Disney's All Star Resorts are probably some of the most popular onsite options.

✨Not only are they great value, but they have a special touch of Disney magic that children will love. They have all been refurbished in the past five year and guests can take their pick of the pools between the three hotels.

✨When you stay at All Stars, you'll benefit from all the usual Disney perks, such as Early Entry, free transport to the parks, Movies Under the Stars, evening campfires, and a jumpstart on booking your dining ahead of offsite guests.

A few tips
- Avoid All Stars while major cheer and dance competitions are going on.
- If you are thinking of staying offsite due to costs, wait until a Disney offer is released and you'll likely find it hard to beat an All Stars price once you've factored everything in
- If you plan to be in the parks from rope drop to fireworks, an All Stars resort is a solid choice. But if you want more of a holiday feel and plan to spend time at the resort, one of Disney's Moderate Resorts could be more your style

✨If you are visiting Universal Orlando with little ones, there is one spot you need to head to - Seuss Landing is such a whimsical area for children to explore.

✨The crowds don't get too long for any of the rides, so it's a great place to go during the busiest part of the day.

✨Not only do they have rides without height restrictions (a rare thing at Universal), but there are also interactive experiences, a great storytelling session, some fun shops, and a few unusual snacks to try (Who Hash, anyone?).

✨When you book your stay through me, I'll make sure you know all the top spots across Disney and Universal for the little ones to enjoy. I have a toddler myself, so I know how important it is to keep them happy!

I’ve had a lot of people asking which water park will be open when they go. Now we know!

For anyone not familiar, Disney has two water parks but has only had one in operation at a time since the pandemic.

Blizzard Beach normally takes the winter slot from November to March with Typhoon Lagoon open the rest of the year.

Did you know you can take your own food into Disney parks?

I’m not the biggest fan of any of the quick service restaurants in Magic Kingdom, so I always take a picnic and THIS is one of our favourite picnic spots.

It’s located right in the top corner of the park near ‘it’s a small world’.

✨And a cute little scavenger hunt to keep the children entertained.

I always make sure you know several little spots in the parks to sit, grab something to eat, and people watch before you head out to Orlando. So when you need a bit of a break you aren’t wasting time hunting for somewhere to go.

DO YOU KNOW WHICH EPCOT FESTIVAL YOU’LL BE VISITING?

✨I love, love, love the Epcot festivals. They just add such a fun element to your park day.

My top tips?
✨Grab a festival guide when you walk in and see what is on
✨Take part in the fun scavenger hunt (usually $10 or so) children will love it
✨Try at least one snack from the food booths
✨There is a concert series during each festival (Candlelight Processional during Festival of the Holidays), book the dining package for reserved seating.
