At this time of year, we are sharing our waters more and more with marine wildlife. All responsible sea users, be that boats, kayaks, paddleboards, and swimmers should be aware of their local marine code of conduct before venturing out on the water.
Animals such as whales, dolphins and porpoises are very sensitive to disturbance, so much so that it is illegal to intentionally disturb these animals. If you come across an animal or a pod, you should keep your distance, at least 100m. Slow down if you are passing or turn off the engine if you are stopping to watch. Never drive directly towards them or place yourself in between individuals. If you are in a harbour, remember to keep exit routes clear for the animals. Be extra vigilant if there are calves within the group.
With common dolphins often they will come to you, this is their choice and usually a much nicer encounter for all involved.

Highly recommend taking a short drive (20 mins from cabin ) down to Pats Plaice in Dinas Cross for absolutely delicious fish & chips then go up to the view point to enjoy them and take in the beautiful views.
