Really enjoyed the summer solstice owner, vineyard manager tour & tasting. Loved hearing the stories about this family run Surrey vineyard, just outside Guildford. A lot of hard work and passion goes into their wine and it shows. Definitely worth a visit.

Fabulous vertical tasting of Rosé Reserve! What a treat! So interesting to taste the wonderful variation across the vintages. Perfect way to celebrate the summer solstice and English Wine Week.

I think the 2013 magnum was my favourite, still loads of delicious berry fruit with lots of lovely vanilla - a refreshing summer dessert in a glass. 🥂

Oh my goodness, what an amazing wine and food fest we had at yesterday! 🥂🍾

Thank you so much to the Gladwin family, Olivia, Robin and team for the most fabulous evening of divine wine which perfectly complemented the sublime Gladwin family farm sourced menu. Everything was so impeccably well thought through and beautifully presented. 🥂🍾

We can’t decide which was our favourite food and wine pairing: the chorizo and Nutbourne Reserve; the scallop risotto and Nutbourne Chardonnay; or the confit lamb shoulder and Nutbourne Pinot Noir. Yum!!

Today we braved the Kent winds on a very bleak and blustery bank holiday. It was well worth it! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to for an owner led tour and tasting.

Thank you Graham for a really engaging and informative tour. We loved learning about the vineyard, the badger 🦡 latrines and seeing the fragile new buds about to burst.

It was great to explore the range of wines too.

We’re big fans of the bottles themselves - from the hand crafted wax tops on the still wines to the impressive ribbons of the sparkling wines.

The wines themselves were delicious. We particularly liked the Classic Cuvée, a real crowd pleaser, and the crisp Pinot Noir rosé. Can’t wait to taste the soon to be released Chardonnay / Pinot Meunière rosé!

We’ve been quiet on social media. Real life has been less quiet. Sometimes it’s been tricky to see the wood for the trees - in a good way (mostly).

Happily, lockdown 3 brought many virtual wine tastings. While stuck at home, we have loved meeting lots of fabulous people from across the country. We have enjoyed sharing the wonders of English wine even more.

With WSET 2 done and dusted in Lockdown 2 (with Distinction). Lockdown 3 was aptly used to undertake WSET 3. Exam now done. Waiting for results. Fingers crossed 🤞

We’re now plotting and planning the next exciting phase for DiVine Wine Adventures - watch this space!

And starting to catch up on vineyard visits!! So many English vineyards, so little time...

Friday nights often mean fish ‘n chips in our house. As a result, Friday night = English Bacchus night.

Today we enjoyed the super sophisticated Kit’s Coty Bacchus that has been whole bunch pressed and barrel fermented. Yum. Tastes even better on its own, without the fish ‘n chips!
