When I set up my business 12 years ago under Travel Counsellors it was huge leap out of my comfort zone.

Had I known just how much I DIDN’T know about travel and running my own travel business I’d never have taken the jump.

So glad I did. Travel Counsellors have supported me every step of the way and my business has grown thanks to my wonderful clients.

Without a doubt it was the best decision I have ever made. To find a way to earn a living that doesn’t feel like work is truly a blessing!

I am so grateful for all the support I’ve had from my mum Maggie Humphries without who I couldn’t juggle work and life….and for Hamish for putting up with all the outings and meals and things we missed as I put business first…and thanks to everyone who has supported me with business, recommended me, befriended me and everything else!!

You’re the best!

As our time in St Lucia for our 2024 escorted group comes towards the end, it has been just as amazing as last year…and the year before…

So yesterday some of our group decided to have lunch in I-TAL* at BodyHoliday.

The restaurant is perched above the resort and this is not just a meal….its an immersive experience through the sustainable organic gardens of the resort before sitting down to an infusion of the freshest, tastiest plant-based meal I’ve ever had.

We spent an hour with our passionate and super-knowledgeable guide, Bradley. He showed us the many plants, trees and crops that are cultivated and cared for by his small team that are then used in the restaurants and wellness centre at BodyHoliday.

We tasted leaves and seeds and learnt more about their properties and how the talented chefs at BodyHoliday use these to create the amazing dishes served here.

We then arrived at the restaurant and helped to prepare our salad course before being served the most amazing plant-based 4 course lunch.

Oh….and the view??? Just amazing!

*I-TAL, standing for “Vital” in the Rastafarian culture, is a plant-based diet principally intended to improve health and energy.
