Did you know that today is International Day of Forests? 🌲

Responsible travel is important to me, so today is the perfect opportunity showcase how travel can be done more responsibly by making some simple changes. Whether you’re travelling as a couple, with the family, or in search of adventure, there are changes that everyone can make to help you tread more lightly.

These are just 3 of many things that we do as a wider community to promote sustainable travel, but my favourite point is that many of our partner suppliers only include activities and excursions that support local communities, keeping 100% of monies paid within the destination, creating jobs, supporting families, allowing children to have an education and keeping historic cultures alive. Why is this my favourite point. Because not only does it have a huge positive impact on local lives, but it creates unique experiences and memories for travellers that will stay with you forever

My destination spotlight this week is the fabulous Philippinnes. 🏖️

After my recent exhibition at the East Anglia wedding show, I've been talking a lot to couples about perfect destinations that have 'Maldives' vibes but at a much lower price point.

The Philippines is a fantastic travel destination for its stunning natural beauty, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality. Today is international women’s day and in business we often talk about our ‘why’
For me my ‘why’ like many is for a better work life balance and to be present in my boys lives whilst they’re young and to enjoy these years that I’ll never get back.

But as it’s international women’s day, today it’s important to me to celebrate the ‘how’

I could’ve quite easily been a stay at home mum with the support of my wonderful husband Dean, but that’s just not me…5 years ago when I started my business it was as because I wanted to be the best mum possible but didn’t want to be ‘just mum’. I wanted to continue a career within an industry in which I absolutely love but quite simply I wouldn’t be where I am today without my amazing mum and sister.

They often…ok actually quite a bit more than often 😁 they do the school run so that I can go networking at BNI Enterprise Chapter - Norfolk and other training events, they often have the boys in the school holidays so that I can get on with quotes in peace and the boys regularly stay over so that me and Dean can have a night out.

Putting the boys aside they’re my go to for support, a shoulder to cry on and my biggest cheerleaders (and my best customers 🤣)

So yes I do it for the ‘why’ but it’s impossible without the ‘how’
