🌟 Celebrating 6 Months at Visit East of England (VEE) and the VENI Project 🌟

I can't believe it's already been six months since I joined Visit East of England (VEE) and became part of the VENI Project journey. It's been an incredible learning experience, and I'm thrilled to share some highlights of my journey so far.

At VEE, I've had the opportunity to take charge of our social media presence, diving deep into the world of digital marketing and honing my social media skills. Every day presents a new challenge, and I've been soaking up knowledge like a sponge, eager to develop my expertise further.

Meanwhile, with the VENI Project, I've been fortunate to be involved in a myriad of exciting projects. One standout moment for me was taking on the responsibility of organizing the Students.Operating.Sustainable event—a project I had attended as a student just a year ago. It's amazing how the tables have turned, and I've relished the opportunity to contribute to an event that meant so much to me as a participant.

But perhaps the highlight of my journey thus far has been setting up focus group sessions aimed at supporting students in the East of England Gateway (EEG) who are considering the apprenticeship pathway. Being able to listen to their aspirations, offer guidance, and witness their growth has been incredibly fulfilling. It's moments like these that remind me why I'm so passionate about what I do.

Looking ahead, I'm excited to continue meeting new people, expanding my network, and presenting myself more confidently to get my name out there. Every interaction is an opportunity to learn and grow, and I'm determined to soak in every bit of knowledge and advice that comes my way.

Revealing the intricacies of project planning during my project management unit proved enlightening. From delineating project scope to engaging stakeholders, conducting risk assessments, employing Gantt charts, and formulating a critical plan—these components were pivotal for the success of our Sustainable Futures Careers event. I now share the significance of each factor for aspiring young project managers:

Project Scope: Acts as a safeguard against scope creep, fostering alignment, and establishing a robust foundation for planning.

Stakeholders: Encompasses understanding expectations, managing interests, and securing support throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Risk Assessment: The proactive identification and addressing of risks serve to minimize negative impacts, thus contributing to overall project success.

Gantt Charts: Play a vital role in planning, scheduling, and monitoring progress, providing a clear visual overview.

Looking back at an unforgettable day that I will forever remember🌟✨ It feels like it was just yesterday when I had the amazing chance to stand in front of a group of college students at the Sustainable Future Careers Event, which I helped plan at West Suffolk College last week.

I had the privilege of sharing the stage with Claudia Roberts, CEO of Zoological Society of East Anglia.

Together, we delved deep into the exciting opportunities that await in the world of the zoo and the vibrant career prospects within the visitor economy by sharing my own apprenticeship experience.

These speaking opportunities have truly ignited a fire within me over the past 5 months in my role with Visit East of England and The VENI Project. It has been an absolute joy to connect with both students and businesses, sharing my personal journey and inspiring others to consider the limitless possibilities that apprenticeships can offer.

But here's the exciting part: this is just the beginning! I'm eagerly anticipating more incredible opportunities that I hope come my way in the future. Let's keep riding this wave of inspiration together! 🙌💫
