Don Shearer (Travelbiz) met up with the Stuba team in Belfast to run through their new trade focused website bringing a new era in trade-only hotel search. Sarah Clayton Turner, Angela Muir (Head of Sales Ireland and the UK) and Don Clarke, who represents Stuba in Ireland, demonstrated Stuba’s new site.
Key features remain unchanged; on login, agents will still need to enter destination, dates, and number of guests, and will still be able to type in a specific accommodation name if your customer knows where they wish to stay.
Stuba’s curated hotel results are born from their state-of-the-art technology which uses predictive analytics and algorithms to curate the right fit for your customers. A ‘one size fits all’ route no longer works when selecting a hotel as customers’ demands have become more discerning. Craig Donnelly (A&G) is eager to get things returning to a degree of normalcy. “It is so important to be kept up to date with the latest information and to receive face to face training. It will be great to catch up in real life again. The Roadshows are important for the suppliers and agents alike and I think the timing is right to get back out once again.”

Today I will be in Belfast in support of my industry in a at Stormont.

Travel has suffered so much and needs a lifeline. The Government now needs to take action and address this at such a critical time.

All we ask is that government simply helps to save our industry. Livelihoods are at stake and we need them to bring forward a package of tailored financial support including extending furlough to help protect jobs and businesses in the travel industry. We all need and use Travel Agents to help plan and make dreams come true

Travel plays a vital role in all of our lives – bringing families and friends together, connecting businesses and offering hardworking people a well-deserved break. We need international travel to return safely this summer
