Today is hope cottage gotcha day. Thank you to all our lovely guests who have stayed and we look forward to welcoming so many more.

Come and explore this beautiful and unspoilt area of North Devon, the beaches will be quieter, dogs can have a field day at Northam Burrows, which is less than 30 minutes away and explore some of the hidden footpaths around the village. Afterwards grab a slice of cake from the shop and come back and put your feet up in front of the toasty log burner.

If you are coming to hope cottage with your bikes or 🐶 then take a trip to Fremington Quay. Wonderful views and a long straight and even path. Perfect day out and finished off with a pot of earl grey and slice of carrot cake at Fremington Quay Cafe

The picture below is of the lovely town of Appledore where you can wander the lanes of independent shops and go crabbing from the key. Also close you will find Skern Lodge - an outdoor adventure centre covering everything from climbing to kayaking and surfing;
The Big Sheep is only four miles away, with its fun rides, pets’ corner, adventure park, and famous sheep racing and then there is the amazing beach at Northam Burrows Country Park.

Hope Cottage is set in the peaceful village of Chittlehampton in North Devon, with fabulous walks and beaches all within easy reach by car, the beach and pool below can be found at Westward Ho!

The village has a local shop/tea room and the pub is outstanding. Hope sleeps five people in king, twin and single beds, beautiful, fully equipped kitchen and lovely open plan lounge/diner.

Another fabulous review: We had an amazing stay at Hope Cottage. The house is beautiful, clean, and incredibly well-equipped. The spacious living area with the wood burner, is full of character. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and luxurious. Rory was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would love to return and explore more of this stunning part of North Devon. Highly recommended!

1 - Lots of lovely fresh meat including Handcrafted sausages, Steak burgers, roasting joints and much, much more

2 - lots of lovely homemade cakes including Fruit Scones, Victoria sandwich, Triple Chocolate brownies, Individual Strawberry Cheesecakes and much more. To eat in with our lovely freshly brewed Coffee or take out...

3 - Fresh bread and freshly baked Croissants

4 - Fresh vegetables and fruit including English Strawberries, Braunton Asparagus, Cornish new potatoes - that are amazing we had some last night!

5 - From 10am HOT freshly baked sausage rolls
