After taking part in several surveys with the leading UK consumer champion Which? this year, today the company launched a consumer-focussed online tool that rates companies green, amber or red based on their refund and amendment policies in relation to Covid-19 travel disruption. It is designed to makes it easy for people to check which travel companies have provided the best service to their customers, offering flexible booking options and refunds, and which ones could leave them out of pocket if circumstances change.

This accolade further highlights how we have looked after our customers throughout the pandemic, building on our consistent 5-star Trustpilot rating and three-times been voted ‘number one’ in MoneySavingExpert’s consumer poll, which ranks how well travel companies are looking after their customers during COVID-19.

✈✈ Fully-vaccinated UK residents will no longer need to self-isolate on arrival into England from 19th July when travelling from an amber-listed country.

🌞🌞There will still be a requirement to take a pre-departure test three days before travelling and a PCR test on day two of arrival back in England. Children under the age of 18 will not have to isolate when returning to England.

Good to know. Good to have.......

If you have been double jabbed and plan on travelling in the future ( and this could include events in the UK ) then it maybe worth applying for the free Covid Pass Letter. These take 5 days to arrive in the post.

Countries like Malta have already stated that to gain entry they ONLY accept this letter as proof of being double vaccinated and will not accept the NHS app or a print out of the app confirming your vaccination status.

In the last year I have re-found my passion mountain biking. I always had a bike, but the dust was gathering, because I got lazy? Maybe. Finding the time? Possibly. It was just harder work than enjoyment when you’re trying to find a route with no up hills. The knees were begging for no hills. I found it impossible to downhill all the way, how would I get home? Then along came e-bike’s, wow wow wow.

I’m sure I’m not the only one in the last year to purchase one of these and realise how much these machines open up the great outdoors. I cycle more now than when I was 16, fact. My fitness levels are getting stronger, fact. There may be a misconception that e-biking is lazy biking? I can assure you it’s not, the motor makes it easier, but I go further, faster and see more than I ever have before. I also cycle to work, would I have done that on my normal bike? Nope. I cycle to my friends, who live 8 miles away, before we even start our ride, that’s 16 miles before the ride distance, would I have done that before? Nope. Do my knees hurt? Nope. And I’ve seen more of my local area than I ever knew was there. It’s time to explore further 😊

I’m writing this for two reasons. The first being without the amazing service and knowledge to guide me in the best purchase from energise e-bikes, I never would have regained my passion for biking. Second, as a travel agent I think I have a responsibility to make people aware of just how much possibility there is out there for exploring in the UK and try something different doing it. Staycation again this year? Take your e-bike or rent one while your away. I can help and give advice on the best places along with the best accommodation to suit. Your bike will be safe while you sleep and or I can make sure your close to the best rental stations.
