I felt a profound sadness when leaving this incredible country. Over the coming weeks I will sit down and reflect on what made my experience so incredibly special. This is Sri Lanka…I can’t even find the words to describe what an incredible place this is. The people are just wonderful. Beautiful, intelligent and so very kind hearted. They could rival Thailand for the title ‘land of smiles’ The food- fresh, interesting, vibrant flavours. The scenery- stunning! Today I felt like I was in a different world. The history- steeped in every place you visit. I am incredibly lucky to be guided by experts native to Sri Lanka taking me beyond the well-known places and avoid potential tourist traps. I am truly getting a glimpse of lesser known places and it is so rewarding. IMO- this place is completely underrated! I feel a calling to bring more people here to share in this wonderful experience. Stay tuned for details of a small group trip in 2026! Of course, I can plan a bespoke itinerary for you anytime.

🎉🎉 About to embark on a trip that will mark my 75th country visited. As fellow passionate travel lovers will agree, it’s not something you will ever ‘get out of your system.’ I feel so grateful to be able to explore amazing destinations and help others do it too.
