Beautiful Llangrannog at extreme low tide on Sunday... Come and visit this Easter, dates available from 2nd to 7th April.... Spring has sprung and its too nice to miss!!

Unfortunately, we didn't manage to get the out today, as the sea was a bit feisty, but after the morning fog cleared the sky was beautifully blue for an impromptu dip.

Followed by a Chai Latte at in the glorious setting sun.

One of the many advantages of Newcastle Emlyn as a base is the proximity to all three coastal counties of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Just 30 minutes away is the beautiful town of Newport/Trefdraeth, with its amazing huge sandy beach. In around an hour you can reach the stunning beaches between Porthgain and Abereiddi, where you can swim, as we did yesterday, at Traeth Llyfn and The Blue Lagoon.

And Summer Solstice 2022 ended as it began, on a beach, a bit of swimming, and friends. But this time at Tresaith. 10.38pm and still a gorgeous light in the sky. West definitely is best.

Some before and after shots of the new Rosa Rugosa hedge. It was a very hot job planting 30 of these in the heat yesterday, but so worth it! These will develop into a tall, thick, bee-and bird-friendly hedge which smells devine.

Before and after! A busy day in the garden yesterday, planting 30 Rosa rugosa as a bee-and bird-friendly hedge along the bottom of the garden. It was hot work, but very worthwhile. The first bud which has opened is the most beautiful deep pink and has an amazing perfume. Hopefully these will be about 1 metre tall next year!
