Our Story
Before becoming holiday accommodation this building was used as an agricultural barn to house our sheep and store hay. We had many successful lambing seasons here! The conversion took us almost two years. Most of the work was undertaken by ourselves. We used local materials where-ever possible and used hand made pieces of furniture to add character.
Why is it called Pendragon View? As you can see from the photo above, our cottage is nestled only a stone’s throw from the ruins of legendary Pendragon castle in the beautiful Eden Valley.
The local area is a favourite with nature lovers, cyclists and walkers for its wonderful scenery, wildlife and open spaces. Historic castles, breath-taking viafucts, hidden waterfalls and wild swimming places are all close by too. The historic market town of Kirkby Stephen is 4 miles away and offers a good selection of shops, cosy tearooms, pubs, reataurants, cycle hire and more.
