Check this out! Laura wrote this brilliant letter to her daughter Eden from British Airways’ “Airline Rules Department”✈️
I love this idea, as a way to let the kids know what to expect on a long haul flight! Would you ever consider something like this?
My favourite part is no4 “no toilet fast passes”😎
Have a wonderful holiday Laura! Who’s also off to Florida soon?

I have been travelling for forever and am very fortunate to have been taken many places by my parents, from the age of 12 I began to get involved with the planning of my family holidays and by 15 planned our whole 3 week Orlando holiday under budget at the Grand Floridan (if you know Disney this is expensive but I hunted out a bargain!)💳
Since then I have been helping people find the best deal for their trips abroad and helping them plan their itineraries too! So whether you are just starting to search for your next adventure away or have booked but have no clue where to start when it comes to planning an Orlando Itinerary I would love to help. Please follow along if you're interested in any of my travel hints and tips and to watch out for any incredible deals😍

which rare character have you spotted in the parks before and had your photo taken with?
This was on a trip when I was 10 and we met Thumper🐰 in the character area at Animal Kingdom, which is now the new Pandora World of Avatar land. Also for I would recommend buying disney t shirts from Walmart with the year on for each of your kids and getting characters to sign them with sharpies. These then look amazing when you frame them with photos from your trip.

lets talk about Walt Disney World parades. There has been so many different parades at different parks over the years, which is your favourite, past or present?
This photo is from 2010 and is the Animal Kingdom parade, I loved this and was so disappointed to hear it was cancelled. I also loved the Magic Kingdom night time lights parade, it was such a unique experience and I loved watching it when I was younger. 🤩

lets talk about character interactions in the parks, at dining locations or at your resorts at Walt Disney World!
Comment your favourite below!
Here is one of my favourite meets we have ever done as a family, this photo is taken in Animal Kingdom in 2014, when my little brother in the photo was only 10 months.
Josh was giggling and having the best time being chased by Rafiki. And the even better aspect is that the incredible Disney cast members capture all these moments for your memory maker.

lets talk about our favourite dining locations in each Walt Disney World theme park. Comment yours below!🥨
-Animal Kingdom:
Quick Service- Satuli Canteen, I love the healthier food, it's a nice change from all the American food.
Table Service- Tusker House, the character interactions are great as it is relatively small for a dining location.
-Hollywood Studios:
Quick service- ABC Commissary does the most amazing fries and serves my favourite vegan burger too!
Table Service- Disney Junior character breakfast at Hollywood Vine was great for little kids and offers character interactions that are often rarer.
-Magic Kingdom:
Quick Service- Peco Bills, the Mexican food is incredible, the selection on the menu and the massive toppings bar!😍
Table Service- Royal Table for the castle experience or Crystal Palace for the view of the castle and the character interactions.
-Epcot:
Quick Service- Sunshine Seasons, they have everything, so offers something for everyone in the family.
Table Service- Garden Grill with chip and dale, once again the restaurant is small, meaning lots of long character interactions!

lets talk about the magic photos you can get taken for you with your Disney memory maker. The pictures taken, are truly incredible and we have so many magic shots from our trips that I adore. You receive a memory maker with your ticket package, if you live in the UK, and photographers in the parks can take these photos for you and they all upload to your my Disney experience app by them just quickly tapping your magic band.
Whilst Disney is closed, I would love to see your favourite magic shots from your previous trips in the comments. The one I have posted is me from 2014, I was only 10. And it was the first trip we had my Disney experience and it is still an addition I wish Walt Disney World would add to all their theme parks.

lets talk about the best resorts for the most convenient transportation to the parks in my opinion. Let me know which resort you stayed at and what you thought about the transportation options.
-Monorail resorts (Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary), super fast transport to magic kingdom via the monorail. Also nice and easy to get to Epcot by going to the transportation and ticketing centre and changing to the Epcot monorail. Found the buses to HS and AK to be very frequent and never too busy, had no problems.
-Skyliner resorts (Caribbean Beach, Art of Animation, Pop century, Riviera) all of these resorts have a skyliner to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, which is super helpful. I have heard mixed reviews about the buses to other parks though, some people say they often don't put enough buses on in the morning.
-Epot area resorts near the International Gateway (Beach/Yacht Club, Boardwalk and Swan/Dolphin) This is because the new skyliner station is right at the international gateway which can take you to Hollywood Studios, or you can get a boat. This means you can walk to Epcot too! You can then get the buses to the other two parks and since they are deluxe resorts, excluding swan/dolphin, transportation is very frequent and never seems too busy.
Let me know which is your favourite and why.

to our stay at Walt Disney World Grand Floridian Resort, when I found an amazing deal with free dining too! Just a quick tip if you'd like to save some money when staying at your resort, we didn't do this, but it is an option I know lots of people do. is to ring the front desk on arrival and ask to remove mousekeeping (housekeeping). If they say that option is available they will give you a gift card with $10 per day, as you won't have your room cleaned. You cannot opt out of the first or last day though. You still can ring up and ask to have new towels delivered etc.
28/04/2020
lets talk about Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom! I love Kilamonjaro Safari and use a fastpass for it every day I visit! it's best to go in the morning or evening, as at midday you see less animals because it's so hot.
I love giraffes and they are my favourite animal to see on the safari, which animal is your favourite or your child's favourite?

here is a video from the first time our family walked into Hogsmeade Universal Orlando Resort FR last summer! The theming is truly incredible and so immersive.
Which Orlando theme park that you have visited had the most detailed theming and why?
22/04/2020
let’s talk about Disneyland Paris and the two parks, Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland. Today I am going to talk about the Studios Park and what were our favourite bits 🎢
-We loved Ratatouille, it was everything I expected and more it’s so immersive 😍(definitely do this in the evening the queue is so much shorter, took us 10 mins in the eve, in the day the queue is 60 mins!)
-Also loved Crush’s coaster, as it was a ride concept I had never seen in a Disney park before. I was worried it would shake us around a lot like Dragons Fury at Chessington World of Adventures Resortbut it was amazing and smooth!🐢🐠🐬
-Tower of terror was pretty similar but still amazing and the cast members were really wrapped up in the storyline 🏙
-I was slightly disappointed with their toy story land, it only has 2 rides and neither are brilliant. However some of our group loved RC Racer, but the slinky dog ride was just too dizzy for me 😂
What is your favourite part of Walt Disney Studios in ?
20/04/2020
let’s talk about the best value accommodation Universal Orlando Resort FR
They have recently opened the Endless Summer Resort Surfside and Dockside. These 2 new resorts offer 2 bedroom suites that sleep 6! And they are nicer and WAY cheaper than theWalt Disney World ones at the Art of Animation Resort. They are not as large, but are a great value option for larger families or families with older kids who want their own room. Rooms off peak can start as low as £130 a night! They also have a mini fridge, sink and seating area, so you can stop at Target before you arrive and grab some food for breakfasts and packed lunches to save money 💵👍🏻

let’s talk about a top tip I have for people visiting Disneyland Paris 👍🏻✨
Get into the Disneyland Park by 7 for the fireworks. As on the app it says fireworks at park closing, but they are actually 30 minutes before park closing! Also it took use 20 minutes to get in the gate, they were so unorganised. They need a specific gate for pushchairs too! I was really unimpressed by how long it takes for each ticket to scan, the process takes so much longer than the magic band finger print system at Walt Disney World. Would love to see improve this.
16/04/2020
let’s talk about Walt Disney World on-site Resorts. Here are my favourite from each category. Which is your favourite resort and which resort do you want to stay at next?
Value- Art of Animation resort, for its family suites and incredible theming!
Moderate- Caribbean Beach, for its location and the fact it now has the skyliner to Epcot and Hollywood Studios
Deluxe- Beach/Yacht Club, has the best pool in Disney, in my opinion 😍
Deluxe Monorail- The Grand Floridian, for its stunning appearance, incredible location (on the monorail) and amazing views!
The resort I want to stay at next is The Polynesian ✨, what about you?
14/04/2020
here is my resort review of Hotel Cheyenne Disneyland Paris, this is one of Disney’s budget hotels on resort and is a 15 minute walk from the park or 5 minutes on a shuttle.
Pros:
-Hotel room has really nice Toy Story Theming and was very clean
-Breakfast was amazing, such a large variety of food
Cons:
-Very far to walk to your room potentially
-Shower in the bathroom wasn’t great
-Very poor allergy and dietary options
Overall I would stay here again, great price for a hotel on Disney property and you get the extra bonus of magic hours too!
Let me know if you’d like help planning your trip to Disneyland Paris 🎢✈️

let’s talk about snack credits on your Walt Disney World Dining Plan. Before you go, you’re probably worried that 2 meals (quick service or table service) may leave you hungry as you only have snacks as your third meal, however I promise you won’t be, after eating American sized portions! My is to make sure you use all your snack vouchers. We had fun on our last day with 20 snack vouchers left we went in the sweet shop on Main Street and got lots of snacks to take home for friends and family. 🧁🍫🍿🍪🍬🍭
What is your favourite thing to get with a snack credit? Mine is strawberry dole whip!
10/04/2020
let’s talk about rides at Disneyland Paris that I thought were better than at Walt Disney World 🗺
-Hyperspace Mountain in Paris is incredible! A total different ride to Space Mountain in Orlando. It’s more like Rock N Roller Coaster, with incredible theming! ♥️
-Pirates of the Caribbean in Paris is more up to date, longer and has better theming than the one in Orlando.
However overall I would still recommend Walt Disney World over all the Disney parks, but Paris is a great, close to home, cheaper option 👍🏻

My top tip for today, is one you’ll either love or hate. Here is why I think Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is not worth the $110 per child. It is very overpriced, so I suggest doing this:
-Do your daughters hair in a little bun like they do at the boutique and add some glitter in their hair from Claire’s accessories
-Put some kids makeup on their face like they do at the boutique
-Take them to the emporium on Main Street and let them choose an official Disney dress.
(Be mindful at the time of day you do this in the summer, due to the heat)☀️
Check out these amazing Disney clothes for kids! These are absolutely incredible 😍
These are Mel’s daughters on their most recent trip, I saw them on a Disney group and absolutely loved their trip blogs. I have linked her page below.
what to wear to the parks🎢🇺🇸 We have visited at many times of year and the number one thing to wear is trainers! In July/August ☀️I recommend buying thin, light running trainers to wear so your feet are cooler but still comfy 🏃♀️👟

to when we stayed 1 night at Universal Orlando’s Loews Royal Pacific Resort to get 2 day free unlimited express passes in the theme parks! It saves so much, over buying them! You get the day you check in and the day you check out, and with express, in 2 days you can get the parks done well. 👍🏻🎢
You also get early park entry both days!

for going to Orlando theme parks with little kids. The fireworks 🎆 can be a little loud for them, so we brought some ear defenders on Amazon to take with us. My little brother had these when he was 3, but by the age of 5, didn’t mind the noise at all. 👍🏻😊
29/03/2020
let’s talk about other perks you get when staying onsite at Walt Disney World 🌍
-Magic Hours in the parks (for resort guests only) on set morning and evenings
-Early fastpass window 60 days, it’s only 30 offsite. 😍 (message me for help planning and booking yours!)
-Easy Disney transport (buses, monorail, Skyliner) 🚆
-You can buy the kids toys in the parks and have it sent back to the resort so you don’t have to carry it around the park in the heat all day 👍🏻
26/03/2020
to all the cool things I found out this trip about at Disney World! ☀️✈️🎢
-They can be used as a room key 🔑 at your resort
-You scan them whenever a professional photographer takes your photo for your memory maker. This uploads directly to your my Disney experience app ✨
-You can make purchases with it in the parks, if you link your card to it. This is super helpful in waterparks when you don’t want your cards and phone with you

What is Truthful Teen Travel and Why Did I Start It?
My name is Ellie, I am 16 years old and am extremely passionate about travelling at the best price out there, so I can maximise my experience and save for future trips too. This is why I started Truthful Teen Travel and why I am now striving to help others get the best deals too, instead of getting ripped off by giant, corporate travel agencies like Virgin Holidays, Tui and First Choice.
I decided to start Truthful Teen Travel after my recent trip to Orlando with my family in Summer of 2019, which I planned, to make sure we got the most out of our trip with the money we had.
I searched for the best flight deals, as well as searching for the best Walt Disney World on property resort deals, where I managed to secure us a deluxe resort (The Grand Flordian on the monorail loop) at the price of most moderate resorts. I continued with my diligent research and knowledge of the system to secure us a free dining plan, book and plan all reservations and fast passes as well as even finding deals and ways to make the most of our Universal Orlando tickets too. (Watch out for all these top tips on my page, I recently did one about why you should stay at Universal Orlando’s top 3 resorts because it gets you a few incredible extras!)
After some encouragement I recognised my talent for deal finding and wanted to help others find brilliant deals so they can too visit beautiful destinations all over the world at the best price, because who doesn't want the best deal, right?
This is when my concept of Truthful Teen Travel was born, the name stemming from the core meaning I wanted to have within all my posts and services. I am a teen, who loves to travel, but will always share a candour view of her trips. I want to show everyone the highs and lows of travel and that travel doesn't always have to be expensive if you let me seek out the best deals for you.
I hope I can grow Truthful Teen Travel as I visit many other places, whether that be places on my doorstep, in the UK or all across the world. And I hope I can help others find the joy of travel but at the lowest cost, without compromising quality.
If you are looking for your next holiday, whether you know where you want to visit and want me to try and beat the price, or you are just starting your search and would love me to help you find a dream trip, I would be honoured to help.
