HOLD THE FRONT PAGE!

Today at approximately 14:15 on our boat trip out of New Quay, we saw a MASSIVE shark. This is a Thresher Shark, one of the most simply exquisite pieces of fish based engineering out there. With a tail as long as its body, this beast is not only huge, but absolutely gorgeous. We estimate that it was probably between 5/6m long.

This amazing picture was captured by a couple sat eating fish and chips on the harbour wall in New Quay yesterday 🐬😍

They said: “We decided to stop off in New Quay for chips and a sit on the harbour wall. It turned out to be a great decision - given that we then had an hour of entertainment watching dolphins and were treated to the odd breach! A very fine way to spend a Sunday evening.”

The Met Office says it is "likely" that the Aurora Borealis - caused by electrically charged particles from space entering the Earth's upper atmosphere at a very high speed - will be seen again tonight.
