Aurora and shooting stars over Dunstanburgh Castle 💫

This week has been a good one for the aurora peeking its head over the horizon was super lucky to catch the glows on a Astro trip to Dunstanburgh on Thursday night. As well as the northern lights the shooting stars were insane nearly every capture had them in, but this one was the strongest and I love how it enhanced this scene. The tail end of the Milky Way can be seen on the right but the main section was in the opposite direction which I’ll share another time.

This is Lilburn tower, the oldest part of the castle which was completed in 1322. The tower is named after John de Lilburn, who was constable of the castle between 1322 and 1323.

What a fabulous weekend @braefootcottage this weekend… Burns night Marshall Meadows, Breakfast at the Riverside cafe, coffee at Northern edge coffee shop, walks around the Walls, evening food and drinks at Atelier, Sunday lunch at The Cross Inn at Paxton… Highly recommend all eateries ❤️
