Lovely day yesterday spent with the team learning about their portfolio of hotels in Mykonos .

and were my favourites.

Panoptis is set up in the mountains with a very clever 360 design and can be made into a 21 bedroom villa buy out if you wish, think Aztec interiors with stunning infinity pools with the best views.

Deos is the newest hotel to the collection opened this year, walk to Mykonos town, very quiet luxury style again with stunning views and chilled setting.

✨CLIENT INSIGHT ✨

These honeymooners came to me wanting to explore a bit of Greece for their honeymoon, they wanted romantic boutique hotels and good food!

We chose them 2 islands, 2 hotels.

As ever all the extra little touches were in place, private chauffeurs, honeymoon set up and amenities, and even a light dinner ready in their room when they arrived in Crete due to their late arrival and missing dinner.

TRAVELLING WITH TODDLERS

As you all loved my top tips when travelling with babies post here is a toddler equivalent!

🔹Invest in a travel pram you can take onto the aircraft with you and put in the overhead storage. We always used Baby Zen YOYO strollers which I can thoroughly recommend.
🔹Never board the aircraft first, I never quite understand why they ask families to board first, toddlers and young children have so much energy we always let them run around burn off steam in the airport and are the last ones to board. Least time in the seats the better!
🔹Pack plenty of spare clothes for them
🔹Even if potty trained, I always pack a pull up nappy/pants just in case one of them get a poorly tummy
🔹You can never have enough baby wipes!
🔹Stagger the toys, activity bags, if they had their way they would grab everything out at the same time and then it’s game over, so stagger each activity or unveiling of each toy. I personally always get keep em quiet bags
🔹Politely ask the captain if you can see the cockpit, they usually always allow children to go in and take a seat and look at the controls.
🔹IPad! This is always my last resort and will come out last (even if that’s 10 minutes into the journey 😂) ensure you have headphones too, to not disrupt other passengers.

Now we are fully into the swing of September and this week is the first full week of proper routines and back to school, there is A LOT of you thinking about your next getaway.

September is always a peak month for bookings in The travel industry and so far this month I am seeing A LOT of demand for last minute bookings for October half term. I put it down to the terrible weather we have had this summer!

We did many touristy activities which I never did as much when I lived there .

TRAVELLING WITH BABIES

Specialising in family travel my clients quite often ask me questions regarding travelling with babies, if it’s your first time it can absolutely be daunting but I am here to help you and will ensure much of what you need for the airport, transfers and hotel is requested. See below for my top tips.

🔹Invest in a travel pram you can take onto the aircraft with you and put in the overhead storage. We always used Baby Zen YOYO strollers which I can thoroughly recommend. No waiting for the Pram the other end.
🔹Use a baby carrier, personally I found it always easier boarding aircraft’s with baby strapped to me leaving your hands free, it’s also great for getting them to sleep on the aeroplane too. This carrier in the photo is
🔹Pack plenty of spare clothes for you and the baby you just never know what’s going to be spilt, leaked spewed anywhere!
🔹If flying long haul scheduled flights make sure you request the bassinet seats so baby can be laid flat to sleep
🔹You can never have enough muslins and baby wipes!
🔹Organise sterilised bottles, milk into individual sealed storage bags (I always used the ikea food bags) easy to grab a bag for each feed and can put all the used dirty ones back into them to keep all seperate.
🔹Instead of using your luggage allocation on endless amounts of nappies, wipes, formula etc put an online order in at Boots and you can pick it up after you have past security.
🔹Feed baby on take off and landing to avoid any ear issues

Finally, don’t be scared travelling with babies it’s actually the easiest time to fly with little ones so make the most of it and enjoy 😄
