Begin with three days in the country's bustling capital, Lisbon. One of Europe’s most enchanting cities, it’s hard to think of a place that brings together the past and the present with as much aplomb as Portugal’s captivating capital.
Your stay is at the 5* Portobay Liberdade, set just off of Lisbon's most elegant boulevard, a 20 minute stroll from the heart of the city. After a day exploring head to the spa or take a dip in the indoor pool. Start your evening with a cocktail at the rooftop bar before enjoying dinner at one of the hotel's restaurants or head into Lisbon where you are spoilt for choice.
Finish your trip by flying down to Portugal's southern coast for 7 nights at Portobay Falesia. This scenic resort is a stone’s throw from Praia da Falésia on top of the Algarve’s colourful cliffs.
PortoBay Falesia is in the charming Olhos de Água area of the Algarve, just a 15-minute drive from livelier Albufeira. It’s a large clifftop resort in pine-dotted grounds with easy access to two stretches of sand – head one way down 136 steps to the lengthy and much-loved Praia da Falésia, or walk 10 minutes the other way to the smaller and more secluded Olheiros de Água Doce Beach. Your stay here can be as active or as laid-back as you want – hit the tennis courts, visit the outdoor spa or pop over to one of the four sea-facing viewpoints to see the region’s instantly recognisable honeycomb-hued cliffs.
