Pilgrim Adventure Pilgrim Adventure was founded in 1988. Today Pilgrim Adventure is known as Journeying.

For over twenty years we travelled to many of the most remote and seemingly inaccessible places of pilgrimage in the British Isles. Sunday 18th June and a small group gather at a remote moorland chapel on the fringe of the Snowdon mountains. A little over a year from its founding the first Pilgrim Adventure pilgrims were about to set off along the pilgrim’s way…

988. For over twenty years we travelled to many of the most remote and seemingly inaccessible places of pilgrimage in the British Isles; shuddered and laughed together at some of the predicaments encountered along the way; and knew the delight of discovering places where for centuries people have felt especially close to God - sacred places, places of pilgrimage. Today Pilgrim Adventure is known as Journeying, and while we retain much of what Pilgrim Adventure stood for; its ethos, a particular Way, pilgrim travel by its very nature is a dynamic thing, and so we evolve…

PILGRIM ADVENTURE

The hills of grey-blue erstwhile were green,
The pilgrims walked onwards through heather's mauve screen.
Some changed, some silent - over rocks and bog plough
While their spirit soars heavenward knowing that
Heaven is now!
