Walk and Cycle Sandwell is for pedestrians and cyclists that are interested in discussing their experiences both good and bad when travelling around the borough. This page is where you can air your views and let the council know where you are experiencing problems on your journey. You may regularly travel through a tricky junction or find a section of road that is difficult to cross and want the c

ouncil to do something about it. If this is the case then please post your comments on this page and if you have photos or videos to highlight the problem then better still. We would also like you to comment on future major transport projects to make sure that pedestrians and cyclists views are taken into account and that fit for purpose facilities are designed into the scheme at the earliest opportunity. All future major transport scheme consultations will be posted on this page at the beginning of the consultation period to give you plenty of time to give us your views.

👏👏👏 Great to see some of the positive work 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 in Wednesbury are doing to address some of the issues regarding parking outside school gates. This can prove to be very dangerous for children and parents.

Walking, cycling, or scooting to school is a great way to get your daily exercise in and feel healthier and happier! Whilst helping to find solutions to some of these problems, by choosing more sustainable ways to travel.

Sometimes, it's just about changing habits! more and more trades people are commuting without the use of motorised transport - and enjoying the benefits.

"My commute is perfectly doable on an e-bike. It now seems like madness that I was driving around, running an engine and getting stuck in traffic every day.

"I can't believe that more trades people are not doing it. There are so many people that don't need to carry hundreds of tools around with them every day. You can fit more than enough into an e-cargo bike...

"It's going to take a bit of saving up to buy my own e-cargo bike, but I already know that it will be valuable for myself and my business."

Since taking out a free loan via our scheme, stonemason Steve Roche (The Stone & Letter Workshop) from Sheffield has swapped his van for an e-cargo bike, saving money and boosting his fitness in the process.
