Closure of Mill Brae Fishery ...As of the 31st of August we will be closed to the public. The property is on the market as we are moving away. Alan has been offered a life changing veterinary position. Mill Brae has been a fantastic challenge for us and we have done so much with it. We have a small shop with a small selection of mosty trout bait fishing equipment Inc rods, reels, floats, hooks and bait etc.

Everything has 50% off! To clear stock.

First water w**d trim of the year. Best to hit it early rather than tackling a big mess next month. Its a fine balance. Keep nature happy with plenty newts frogs and toads not to mention the abundance of dragon flies here. A tidy up is a must as it would soon become marsh. We have our first Swallows and Sand Martins of the year this morning 😍

Mill Brae Fishery will be closed on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of May. We are open dawn to dusk all other times. There will be a good clear up of some trees to allow for a better experience and more areas to fish.

Another wee job is the saying but actually a Big one.... after the torrents of rain I had to unearth the water pump in the Burn by hand. Its not needed now but I hope for all our sakes we get a big dry and WARM spell....🤩

When the daylight is on short supply it's hard to get jobs done. Especially when you leave in the dark and get home in the dark. Some more essentials completed today. Just need mains wired to the aerator box then I can get rid of the ugly cables 🥰

Just to start with: Selection of essentials. Hooks, line, floats and rigs plus weights etc. Match rods and reels, spinning rods and reels. Small selection of trout bait and awaiting more to follow soon. Early days. However, we propose to add, add and add. Fly, Course and Sea fishing essential at very competitive prices.
