The Great Yorkshire Adventures staff had a multi activity day today! Cycling in God’s Own County in the morning (including a fantastic cafe stop for breakfast in Boroughbridge!), followed by a couple of hours on the paddle boards on the river at Knaresborough! Days don’t get much better than this! And now we’re pleasantly exhausted!!! 😀😀😀😀

The Great Yorkshire Adventures team went out to play today in our beautiful back yard! What an absolutely incredible day! 64 km, 1000m of climbing, with two lung-busting hills in Fleet Moss and Kidstones!
Come and join us on August 1st for the Kettlewell Loop and experience it for yourself. It’ll be fully guided with a support vehicle on hand to cater to all your needs! Another member of our amazing team took the opportunity to go paddle boarding today, just a couple of miles from our HQ! The very essence of tranquility! I’ve never seen her so happy and chilled as she is on her return!! 😃😃😃 This is on the River Nidd at Knaresborough, and several of our cycling routes come by here! ☀️☀️☀️

Two of the Great Yorkshire Adventures staff having a bit of fun today in Dalby Forest in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park! Beautiful weather in God’s Own County! Josh riding a bike that was built when he was 2 years old, and still going well! (although I failed to mention to him until the very end that his back brake was binding, therefore hugely increasing his work rate... 😂😂😂. Well, he’s young and fit and needs to be handicapped somehow!) And it shows that you don’t need the latest most expensive bikes to enjoy cycling! 😀😀😀 An absolutely magnificent day out! 😀😀😀🚴🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🚴🏻‍♀️

Great Yorkshire Adventures’ co-founder Bruce Haxton sets off tomorrow on his epic 2,500km cycle around Northern Thailand! Bruce is raising money for one of the elephant sanctuaries over there whose funding has been wiped out by Covid. His huge challenge will see him in the saddle for the best part of 3 weeks (a proper Grand Tour) enduring mountainous terrain and 40C degree heat! However, it’s his Yorkshire spirit that will see him through it! I’m sure he’ll deserve a pint of Tetley’s by the end!!

Great Yorkshire Adventures are on a mission to help those less fortunate than ourselves to understand that Yorkshire is simply the greatest place to explore, walk, ride and, if we're honest, live! And a big part of any adventure is of course the post adventure pint....

So, we're asking for YOUR HELP to put together a list of the greatest post adventure pubs in Yorkshire and we're getting the ball rolling with the Crown Hotel in Middlesmoor. Brilliant location high up in the Dales, log fire, great hearty food and, of course, excellent beer.

Let us know your favourite Yorkshire pubs and help us make sure all our adventures end with the best pint* around

* of course other drinks exist but a Yorkshire adventure wouldn't be a Yorkshire adventure without a pint would it!
