“Two quite daft 50+ adventure loving numpties and an old springer spaniel decided to head to Northumbrialandshirevilletown in August 2024 for their holidays.
Ada van was their well appointed, cook anything in, keep your beers and kippers cool in, beautifully lit, multi-socketed, dream home for the duration. With her comfy bed, airy skylight, clever space saving cubbies and lovingly designed bamboo kitchen she was a delight to tour in.
Ada made it across the Holy Island causeway, o’er hill and down dale, passing castles, sea-scapes and midge ridden forrest taking it all in her stride, even in second gear! Many an evening were spent chilling under her twinkly lit awning, sipping cider and putting the world to rights. We would totally recommend hiring Ada, even if you are six feet tall, she’s a dream and Vicci and Gill are the hostesses with the mostest.

Actual real life footage evidencing that everything, everything we create starts first as a tiny little thought in our tiny little magnificent brains.

NanasVanas was a thought I woke up into while in my sick bed 18 months ago. I literally woke up thinking of the idea.

I think it’s fair to say that with the support of each other and those around us, and the leaning in on our prayers and faith, we’ve smashed it in terms of pulling that tiny thought out of my brain and into life.

​There comes a day, somewhere in the middle of every woman’s life, when Mother Nature herself stands behind us and wraps her arms around our shoulders, whispering
“It’s time.”
“You have taken enough now. It’s time to stop growing up,

Just 12 hours after we picked Ada up… 24 hours of incredible guest speakers, worship, ministry, training, starling watching, connecting and conversation at Gospel Entrepreneurs National Gathering! We’ve met some incredible new friends and reconnected with friends from the last gathering. NanasVanas has been blessed no end this weekend and we can’t wait to share our first Van, Ada with you!❤️

One of the most spectacular sights we can see, the illumination of the sky at day break followed by the rising of the sun.

How many sunrises have you seen in your life? I mean intentionally watched? Got up on purpose with the intention of soaking in the rays and witnessing the wonder of creation? If you’re anything like me, prior to the beginning of this year I had seen maybe 15, 20 if I’m being generous and considering I’m in my 51st year on the planet which gives me, since adulthood, over 12,000 opportunities to experience the sunrise, that’s really a drop in the ocean.

This year I made a decision to make it a priority to get outside in nature at the break of day and start my mornings with the rising of the sun. I don’t get to do it every morning because of Nana or work commitments, but this year already I’ve seen the rising of the sun more times than I had done in my life til this point and I would encourage everyone to experience it as part of their lifestyle.

Not only is it absolutely beautiful, it’s one of the most important (and free) health hacks you will ever invest in.

Why not make a decision to include watching sunrise into your life. I dare you too, you won’t regret it ❤️

The creative mind is incredible. I remember the day I woke up in my sick bed literally into the download of NanasVanas. It was just a thought, a thousand and one jumbled thoughts.

The next thing is we are buying our first van. We had an empty van. What a journey it’s been and well worth the wait!

Good morning! It’s been so long since we posted on here. You may be thinking… “Hold on, I liked this NanasVanas page, got excited about the concept, was waiting for launch and they disappeared”.

Well, we didn’t disappear we’ve been working hard behind the scenes and this past year has to be one the biggest lessons not only in business but in: Patience; Perseverance; Grit; Goodness; Compassion and Faith.

Transparency Alert… things didn’t go exactly to plan in terms of timing. With one thing or another, and then another and then another (you get the idea) the launch of Nanasvanas with our first van, Ada had to be put on hold for a little while. It’s been frustrating at times but valuable lessons learned along the way.

And now the time has come, in what we believe to be perfect timing 🙏🏼 for Nanasvanas to get Ada out on the road!

She is absolutely gorgeous! ❤️

The last paragraph of NanasVanas message is very dear to our hearts, particularly the part that says about Home-base, that place we we can love unconditionally; experience life wonderfully; see clearly; think rationally; appreciate fully; hope faithfully; live peacefully; connect deeply and live in our God given joy.

Just a quick update on Ada-Van…
We went to see her in the workshop yesterday after almost 2 weeks of not seeing her and we’ve decided we’re going to pack up and move in! Only joking!! She is already absolutely ‘live-in’ worthy though, even if she is only 70% done. We’re so excited to get her build complete and on the road, and for Danielle, our first NanasVanas booking to enjoy her in a few weeks time!

🔥The day Nanasvanas took the huge leap of faith and bought the first Van!

What a day this day was!
The minute I saw her I knew we had to have her, she had to be van number one! She was spacious, absolutely gorgeous and a dream to drive! Her body work was immaculate and she just screamed Nanasvanas! She has certainly set the precedent for our next vans!

The day we picked her up was a mixture of emotions: excitement; nervousness; elation; fear and then of course came the “Are we doing the right thing?” We pushed through the fear and reminded each other WHY we had chosen to start Nanasvanas in the first place, and this is it…

Nanavanas exists to encourage and inspire the 40+ Woman to take time out for herself to disconnect from the noise of the world, so she can live a more present, deeper connected, and balanced, healthy rhythm of life

And so the adventure began - LAUNCHING JULY! 🙂

Far too often, we find ourselves down the rabbit hole of ‘to-do’ lists, we are so distracted by the noise of the world; by the demands and responsibilities that we either a) forget to be still or b) we believe the lie in our heads that the world will fall apart if we stop. Quite often it’s the latter, an underlying fear of losing control or the fear of things getting on top of us causing overwhelm if we don’t check off our to-do list.

Today, we wanted to share with you how we came up with our Mission Statement, and why we are doing what we are doing. You’ll see our ‘Mission’ - the ‘What’ in tomorrows post, but this sums up the ‘Why’ to the ‘What’. Imagine how different our experience of life could be if we spent more time in ‘Homebase’…
