You can now clear your Monday blues with a visit to Dundrum Castle, built by John de Courcy around 1177 it offers fascinating history and stunning views over Dundrum. Thanks to the National Trust it will now be open on Mondays for the months of July and August as well as the 5th and 12th September from 9.45 am – 4 pm.

When you’re in Dundrum it always feels the mountains are calling you!! However I was a wee bit rude this morning and turned my back on the Mournes to enjoy a walk along the old disused railway track.

It’s a 2.5 km stretch running the length of the bay. The railway ran between Belfast and Newcastle right up to the 1950s having been in operation for over 100 years.

A gentle and peaceful walk (I didn’t meet a soul!) and the views of the birds and the bay were a delight ❤️

I nearly had to wear sunglasses in here yesterday!! 😎The light floods into the apartment, especially in the winter when the sun is low! No need for heating! You could literally open the doors and sunbathe!! 😂 You can enjoy the most amazing sunrises from this bedroom 🙌🏻
