Today is Shrove Tuesday, known more popularly as Pancake Day. This is the day for pancake races, a uniquely British pastime where folk with frying pans race each other, flipping pancakes.The British pancake is not thin and delicate like a French crepe. It is thicker making it much easier to toss! The traditional way to eat them is with freshly squeezed lemon juice and castor sugar.
