I'm trialling coverless, washable duvets by night owl in our twin room. They are fully laundered between each guests. I love the textured waffle top and soft underside. They are 10.5 tog so very toasty and I'm really happy with how all the bedding ties in together now throughout.

New Products at The Milestone! After trialling them myself for several weeks so that I'm totally happy, I'm delighted to be supplying products for guests use during their stay. Their products are totally in keeping with my and ethos, the products are made in small batches using seaweed from our Cornish coast down in the far west of Cornwall. The aluminium bottles are reusable and recyclable plus those blue and white stripes were irresistible... check out their page for more details. Please note that I pay full price for these products for my guests and am in no kind of collaboration with it's a genuine recommendation.

All our beds are really comfortable and high quality divans with sprung mattresses. They are encapsulated in a hygienic waterproof cover then topped with a quilted protector and then with crisp high quality bedding. This means that The Milestone's twin room can easily accommodate two adults rather than just be a children's room. Everyone has a better stay when they sleep well which is why I focus on comfortable beds, luxury mattresses and black out curtains. It's these fundamentals that keep bringing people back to visit again

Wedding season has officially begun...this weekend's guests are visiting for a local wedding so I've popped in some eco confetti for them, made with dried Cornish flower petals.

Blankets and Throws are always laundered between guests. A simple twine tie and label lets guests know they are fresh to snuggle in and lets me know if they have been enjoyed and need a wash.

Happy Easter from The Milestone Cornwall! We are booked up for the Easter weekend. If I've been a bit quiet on here it's because I've been pretty much fully booked since Christmas but I'm back with lots of new things to share. It's been lovely hosting locals and some lovely NHS staff who have been flat out working shifts at our local hospital as well as some people who have been organising the new road world that will make your drive to us a lot less congested! How gorgeous are these eggs for our twiggy tree? I have some limited availability for the end of next week and the weather is supposed to be a mini heat wave so why it book a stay?

Exciting delivery today. With a collaboration between two of my favourite small local businesses and my guests that are staying over the weekend will be treated to some special jam with their home made scones and Cornish clotted cream. King Charles was the Duke of Cornwall before he became King and I thought that whatever your view of the monarchy... pro anti or indifferent...a delicious Cornish tea welcome is something that we can all agree on!
