Meet Rocky

Meet Rocky He became a pet lamb and Farmer Claire took him under her wing Rocky thrived under her watchful eye and was often found alongside his siblings playing in the fields. However, one day, Farmer Claire went out to give Rocky his breakfast and he was nowhere to be seen. Claire walked the whole field and spotted him curled behind a grass tuft. It was Rocky but he was not looking his best. Claire scooped him up and brought him inside. She wrapped him in a warm blanket, placed him under a heated lamp, and got him to have his breakfast. She stayed with him, watching over him. She even brought him a football, knowing how much he loved to play with it. It's amazing what you discover; from tyres for machines that have lonnnggg gone to an ancient tin of Mcvities biscuits - they were empty- It's been a real discovery. Plus we have found things we thought we'd lost so all in all very worthwhile. 🐏Meet the Woolly Team 🐏 We have a flock of Zwartble sheep on the farm. What is that you ask? Well Zwartbles are rather distinctive compared to the more traditional breeds that you find in Scotland. With a beautiful black woolly jumper that keeps them toasty on those colder nights and four white socks and a white stripe down their face. They can be mistaken for goats from a distance. However, they are BIG!! On average a female can weigh in at 150 - 200 pounds and I tell you it is a proper workout for Farmer John and me when we get out sheering these beauties later in the year.
