It’s really taken me back (it feels like yesterday but also forever ago) to the serenity of the trail with no access to the outside world, the parts of the trail that we met at the next check point and had an hour or so completely alone with breathtaking surroundings was just phenomenal.

We made it!! ⛰️🥾🎀

Four days and three nights of trekking and camping the 42km Inka Trail, with a lot of highs and lows. I certainly underestimated how tough the altitude would be - but the history, views, Inka ruins and of course the amazing cause (The Pink Ribbon Foundation) made it all worth it.

The ‘Inka warriors’ (G Adventures porters, chefs, guides) made the experience so much better and couldn’t be more grateful for their hard work and support throughout - dealing with all our niggles!

Today started with a delicious breakfast (I had a freshly made omelette) and then we checked out of Shandrani and headed to La Valley des Couleurs for the amazing zip lines (I'll post more about that another day).

I have now arrived at the absolutely stunning Beachcomber Victoria Resort and Spa, and I'm so so lucky to be the very person to stay in this newly renovated Deluxe Room. Every room here is ocean facing! Also check out the Weavers nesting in the palm trees, they are super cool to watch!

Within the grounds they also have Victoria for 2, which is a small adults only hotel (just 40 rooms) with its own pools, bars and restaurant. The ground floor rooms have direct pool access (see the last 5 pics).

I now have a couple of hours to catch up on some work before drinks and dinner on the beach! ❤️

This is honestly one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited.

I arrived this morning after a 7 minute transfer from the airport and was greeted with prosecco followed by a delicious breakfast.

I'm now exploring some of the many beaches that are private to the resort. Watersports such as kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling are all included.

The hotel is at 95% capacity, but it doesn't feel overcrowded.

I can't wait to explore more of Mauritius throughout the week 😎

I have had the most incredible week of learning, experiencing, networking, relaxing, partying and I have eaten some of the best meals I've ever tasted. A massive thank you to Virgin Voyages and NJT HQ for putting together such a great trip.

I normally post a lot more during these trips but I have honestly enjoyed it so much that social media took a back seat. I will share some of my favourite moments over the coming weeks.

I can't praise Virgin Voyages enough, the crew and service is outstanding, and the food is simply out of this world!
