As we get ready for September, we're preparing to be open all year. Our plan is to offer workshops, groups and exhibitions around our theme of 'Waterlines: The Story of Lybster'.

To make that happen, we need your help. We are looking for volunteers to support Waterlines for a minimum of two hours a week. Volunteer roles can include...

🐟 serving in our coffee & gift shop
🐟 guiding visitors around the museum and exhibition
🐟 sharing stories of the local area
🐟 helping with preparation for workshops and events

If you have a passion for your community and an interest in local history, we need you! If you'd like to take some time every week to meet new people, get some experience for your CV or dip a toe back into the world of work, we'd love to help you!

📣Amazing News! 🎉

The has been officially inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

This not only makes Scotland’s first World Heritage Site inscribed for only natural criteria but the first peatland site inscribed on the World Heritage list.

Happy new week at Waterlines 💙🌊 We are open every Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Here are a list of the tide times for this week so you can plan your adventures at Lybster Harbour.

Don't forget to visit us for a wander around our exhibition, cuppa and cake and maybe treat yourself to some goodies from our shop. We also have crab rolls every Wednesday.

We are right on the shore and the perfect spot for rock pooling, seaglass hunts and wild swimming (race you round the rock and back???)

We're open Wed to Sat (10-3) so here are the tide times for this week if you'd like to pop in for a visit🌊💙 We have rock pooling nets and seaglass collecting buckets for the wee (or not so wee) ones and coffee, cake and ice lollies for after :)

We even have showers if you need to warm up after your swim 🚿
