Full details of our Rampa de Pajares Farewell railtour in November is now on line and open for booking. Not to be missed as it can never be repeated. Aimed mainly at railway enthusiasts it will also appeal to those who love travelling by rail through wonderful scenery, with proper rail carriages with opening windows, and on unusual lines which have little or no normal passenger trains.

Runs from 16th to 21st November

Priced to attract and it is therefore expected to sell out. Book early if you want the full package including accommodation as there are limited rooms available. ATOL and ABTA protected.

Our enthusiast tour, Let’s Clear Cambodia, has been an outstanding success and doing exactly what it says on the tin! Literally every piece of track in the country has been covered, many of which had never seen passenger trains before. Also right up to the Thai border. Huge thanks to The Royal Railway and to Jonathan Lee for his amazing work it pulling it all off. Just a shame a lot of people decided not to go. You missed one of the best rail tours ever.

The use of the vintage 316 loco from Lerida is confirmed, so is the branch line to Soria. Numbers are restricted this year so please book now as the tour is highly likely to sell out.

The Railways Around Bilbao
14 - 21 October

This tour is now a confirmed GO. Book now and get away this autumn. Flights from Heathrow and Manchester, or overland using the Eurostar via Paris.

We are now very hopeful that our tours can start again from the second half of August. Unfortunately, the following tours will now be postponed until 2022:

The Hungary Vampire - very unlikely Hungary and Romania will both be in the green list of countries by early August, or that travel between the two countries will be allowed without quarantine. We looked at dropping the Romania days, but these are such highlights, that we feel it will much better to keep the tour itinerary intact and move it to 2022. Almost certainly early May.

Rail and Natural Wonders of Alaska - although we expect the USA to be green by August, unfortunately Skagway is staying pretty much shutdown with all decent hotels shut. The Whitepass and Yukon Railway, a highlight of the holiday will only be running trains if/when cruise liners arrive (unlikely many will) and even then a very reduced service. Top it off with a reduced service frequency on Alaska Railroad meaning we cannot visit the State Fair. We expect to keep the same August dates in 2022 in order to still visit the State Fair.

We will be writing to all participants early next week with the new dates and your options.
