This 5* hotel with pristine decor is right on a private beach in Faliraki and features indoor and outdoor swimming pools, heated kids pool, Italian, Greek, Tex-Mex and Panasian à la carte restaurant, a burger restaurant and Pita corner, as well as a spa centre.

Right on the beach you will find a beach bar and pizza oven. Moreover, there is an all-day bar, a champagne bar with views of the Aegean Sea, a wine bar, a pool bar and night bar with live music every evening.

We spent 10 days here and it’s been the most incredible time with the most attentive staff who always go extra mile.

This hotel is especially kid friendly with shaded playgrounds right next to kids pool as well as kids club which is being run by the most incredible girls!

We stayed in Junior Family Suite with whirlpool bath and we had probably the best location as it was right in the middle of the hotel facing the evening entertainment area so we didn’t even need to leave the room and could enjoy life music straight from whirlpool bath 🥰

With the holiday season around the corner, protecting your trip is crucial. If you’re booking a package holiday with a UK-based travel company, it’s essential to know the difference between ABTA and ATOL protection.

ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s Licence) is a legal requirement for package holidays that include flights. ABTA (Association of British Travel Agents), on the other hand, is a voluntary protection scheme that may be offered by your travel company for package holidays that don’t include flights.

ATOL protects you against losing money or becoming stranded abroad if the travel company you booked with goes bust. It’s run by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. Travel companies that offer flights as part of a package holiday are legally required to offer ATOL protection, and you should receive an ATOL certificate when you book your holiday. However, it does not cover flights that are booked directly with airlines or with airline ticket agents. Your flight must be included as part of a package holiday to qualify.

ABTA offers financial protection and other benefits for non-flight-based package holidays. Unlike ATOL, ABTA is a voluntary scheme that travel companies can choose to sign up to. If your travel company is an ABTA Member and they go bust, you will be entitled to a refund or replacement of your package holiday, including hotel and transport costs as part of ABTA’s financial protection scheme.

There are few travel companies out there which currently offer extremely cheap holidays and look very appealing, however the reason they are able to do so is because they don’t have ABTA protection.

Remember, if you see “ATOL protection” all over their online shop it’s not really something to boast about as it absolutely mandatory they have it if they offer flight element to their package. However they should be shouting out about being ABTA proteted because that’s the protection you will want to see if anything goes wrong.
